Smooth Transaction Despite a Minor Hickup Ive been to more than a dozen subaru dealers in the NY/NJ area and the team here bursts with energy, are extemely friendly and patient, and also have Ive been to more than a dozen subaru dealers in the NY/NJ area and the team here bursts with energy, are extemely friendly and patient, and also have a very worthy clothes drive for the area that to me at least speaks volumes about their commitment to the local community (the store was just full of clothes for donations that they were collecting for winter relief). Their prices are competitive and they know that so don’t expect much movement on price. In full disclosure there was an error that could have lost us as paying customers when a manager tried to undercut his employee’s work by refusing to take our deposit and trying to start a bidding war between us and another but the rest of the team came back to keep us in the store and close the deal and are the reason we went with them. Sam, Jerry, Attique, and Sal went above and beyond and were extremely accomodating and professional. Very good and friendly team. We bought used and are confident our car will last. Admittedly, their service team may have rushed the detailing but they promised a full detailing after the snow. Happy customer here! More

After having to email a thousand and one email addresses (with no "REAL" people to talk to ) because everything is auto generated emails. I write I get an automated response. DO they even work there??? I test drove a Crosstrek for 4 minutes to be exact, the sales person didnt even ask my name, he took my coupon and said you will get in your email in 5 days...... Maybe he meant 55 days.. I dont know They are very unorganized here ---- DONT GO! They will keep inviting you in for a "TEST DRIVE" - all the emails with different BD Agent attached, come on here.... I know the game! Waste of time and energy! More

"Deanne" either has a multiple personality disorder... or she is a shared internet persona used by the dealership (and Island Jeep as well!) Everything I was told prior to shlepping to Staten Island was simply false. When I arrived to the dealership, I was told "Deanne" was in a meeting. There was not a single vehicle on site that matched my description of what I was interested in. Just horrible and deceptive in dishonest... I complained to Costco. In short, RUN AWAY!!! More

Another Super Purchase At Island Subaru After negotiating price over the phone with Island Subaru late Friday Feb. 26, 2016 and picking up my first Subaru, a 2016 Quartz Blue Pearl Forester After negotiating price over the phone with Island Subaru late Friday Feb. 26, 2016 and picking up my first Subaru, a 2016 Quartz Blue Pearl Forester Limited on Saturday Feb. 27, 2016, I returned with my son to look at Subaru Crosstrek Limited and the Subaru Impreza. The salesman who greeted us was Chris. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. My son planned to just look and compare the two Subarus he was interested in After checking out the cars and later a test drive with Chris, a decision was made on an Ice Silver Crosstrek Limited if the price was right. Chris worked on getting a best discounted deal and securing decent bank rate. A purchase was made. Now for the paperwork , securing insurance binders, filling out papers to get the reg. and plates. A quick walk to the bank to obtain a bank check for the down payment and the deal was completed. No pressure, no gimmicks, no bait and switch, no games. Kudos to Island Subaru for having employees like Chris. More
The small details I bring my Outback in to have all 4 breaks done. While I was driving home the steering wheel starts shaking once I go over 40 mph. I tell them I'll bring it back the following weekend because I didn't want to pay the 15$ toll again. The following morning I'm driving and I hear a grinding. I call Island Subaru and the service guy actually hears the grinding through the phone. He said bring it right in. No problem. Before I leave my apartment, I look at the front wheel. It looked weird. I check the lug bolts, they were all a 1/2 on. Had I got on that bridge, that wheel would have come off. How do you let a car out of your garage without double checking the lug bolts. Careless from the word go. I would NEVER bring my car to this shop again. More
