First time I felt a Car dealership was working with me Saw a used Legacy listed on the dealers website for a good price. Went though the online process of scheduling a test drive for said vehicle. Arrived the next day to be told the vehicle was gone I was alittle bummed out. But the Salesman Marvin was a very nice and helpful guy and sat down with me and listened to what I had to say and what I was looking for he never once tried to push just one particular car on me he let me explain my needs then walked around the lot with me checking out every used car we thought might fit my needs. Once we found one we test drove it and he proved very knowledgeable of the vehicle in a way that didnt seem rehearsed or just rehashed from some script he was supposed to read from. Once I decided it was the car I wanted we went inside and before he ran credit or anything we went over the vehicles car fax and all the listed work the dealership had done on the car. That was reassuring that I knew what had happened with the car before it came to the dealership and after all before I had any real stake in the vehicle(i.e running a credit check etc). Once I was satisfied with everything about the car the process of the credit approval and all that was quick and easy. I was introduced to Mike the finance manger who laid out the numbers and answered every dumb question I had. I left to go get someone to drive me back so I could drive the vehicle off the lot that day. In that time they cleaned up the car for me and buffed out a few dings we noticed after the test drive free of charge. Before I left Mike told me he was gonna try to get me a better interest rate then the one presented when I was leaving(which was still a damn good interest rate).And when I came back sure enough he had done just that. Now for the only negative part of this buying experience this dealership is a part of a bunch of dealerships under the Island autogroup umbrella. As such you can see every dealerships vehicle inventory on the autogroups website. When I explained to my family about the car and went online to show them the car was listed $3,500 less then the price I was given in the dealership. It wasnt because of sales or savings it was just flat out listed at a cheaper price. When I returned to the dealership I pointed this out and on their own site(island subaru) it wasnt so but on the autogroups site(island autogroup) it was. They were not mad or rude they were nice about it and honored the price. But there seems to be a big Disconnect between Island autogroups web team and their dealers because I have called dealerships about cars listed on the site only to be told the car doesnt exist or has been sold ages ago or in this case is a different price. I honestly dont feel it was the dealership trying to pull a fast one because they all seemed surprised at the price difference. Thats the only thing stopping this from being a 5 star review. Overall Marvin and Mike made a process I dread into a fun and easy thing buying a car from them is no more of a hassle then going to the store for a weekly shopping trip. It was easy fast and stress free More

Sal Mazzella/ sales consultant was excellent; his attention to detail superlative, including phone contact and overall professionalism, graciousness and friendliness. I have highly recommended him since to anyone thinking of visiting the dealership. Greg and Sal were able to resolve/expedite the sale even with a minor lien issue. Anthony Monte was also engaging and thorough while setting up blue tooth device and first service appointment. I purchased a 2017 Cross Trek and love this vehicle! Plan to keep it forever.... This guy rocks, I've never had a sales rep truly go the extra mile for me, from registration of plates to insurance to finance to purchase, this man was a complete Godsend. He is new at this particular dealership, but he's not new to the game of selling cars. He's well organized and really cares about his customers. He really helped me out what ever powers that be I hope see this and give him the xxxxxxhe seriously deserves. If anyone reads this, please ask for John, it was my first time buying a car, he walked me through the entire process, was really patient a d professional and husband good genuine guy I would recommend him to anyone and anybody. Pricing was so reasonable. There were no last minute fees added in and they took care of us the whole time. Sal told us exactly how long everything would take so we weren't left standing around waiting to finalize paperwork and finances. They even installed a brand new battery in the used car we purchased. The process was surprisingly simple and concise and service was great! I've already recommended Island Subaru to family and friends. More

When I questioned and showed them the ad on cars.com and their website online with Certification INCLUDED they refused to HONOR the price. VERY Unprofessional and Deceiving. Also certification at several other dealers was $895 and theirs was more than $1000 higher...SMH. First and LAST visit there... More

He was very courteous, professional, helpful and knowledgeable of the car we wanted. He took charge immediately and helped us to rectify the mistakes other sales people had made along the way. I went to hicksville subaru before I came to island subaru which my friend Ania recommened. The hicksville locations atmosphere was not as welcoming as island subaru amd the sales person there seems like he didnt want to sell me a car. So my friend ania told me about the guy (Sam) that sold her new 2016. She said he will help me and that he is very good. She wasn't lying. Sam was personable. He felt like a friend that wants you to drive away happy and not a saleman that will drain you just to sell a car. Sam is knowlegable and proactive. My island subaru car buying experience was very memorable because of Sam. Im also happy because i know my honda 03 that i trade in is in good hands. I will bring in more hikers in island subaru because of him. I will remember sam till the day I retire my subaru. Heck, i will remember sam forever.
