Everyone, especially Adrian and Alissa were extremely helpful and friendly. The service was done quickly and the problem I went in with is gone. helpful and friendly. The service was done quickly and the problem I went in with is gone. More
If I could give this place ZERO Stars I would! I had to find a VW dealer as I have a VW Jetta Tdi with a check engine light. I knew in advance what the problem was (DPF + EGR issues) and I made an appointment one week in advance. The service center didn't even LOOK at my car until 3 days later. They kept telling me that they were backed up with other vehicles and would get to it the next day. After the 3rd of waiting, I argued that I would not be paying their $190 diagnostic fee because I needed my car back. Magically after I said that, my car was seen by a technician. Of course, typical of most dealerships, they wanted to replace all the things wrong with my 15 year old car and charge me thousands of dollars. I declined, but knew that I would have to eat the $190 diagnostic fee. Though I was not happy paying a fee for nothing, I at least knew I would have a detailed invoice of what repairs I needed to get done to avoid paying another diagnostic fee with another VW Dealer. When I go in to pick up my car, I find that they've charged me an additional "environmental fee" of $13.23 AND they want to charge me a 2.5% credit card processing fee. I complained and fought with the manager - Adrian Bordone - that this was unacceptable and poor customer service. There was no sign anywhere on the premises disclosing a 2.5% processing fee AND I was paying by Debit Card which they were absolutely NOT supposed to charge a fee against as it violates Visa Rules and Regulations (I used to work at a bank and handle merchant processing.) They refused to reimburse me or do anything and simply said "that's what we charge." The Jack Daniels Motors Inc. service center is a SCAM and I am filing a formal complaint with the New Jersey Consumer Affairs and Visa. I do NOT recommend anyone go to this place for any type of repair work as they are SHADY and have Horrible customer service. More
Jack Daniels had a super easy check in process (less than 5 minutes). While they worked on my Taos, Samantha kept me updated via text message (which was perfect as I’m a teacher who cannot answer calls throu 5 minutes). Pick up was just as easy as check in! More
I took my car to Jack Daniels Volkswagen in Fair Lawn, NJ for routine service and explicitly told them NOT to wash it. I had my car professionally ceramic coated and polished prior to this visit to protect the paint. Despite my clear instructions, they ignored my request and washed it anyway, ruining all that work in one shot. They left severe swirl marks all over the vehicle, soap residue, and water spots on the paint. When I confronted them, they admitted fault and documented in my service order, “Perform full detail to client’s satisfaction,” but never actually did any work. I waited for hours while they repeatedly lied about a detailer being “5 minutes away”—that “5 minutes” turned into 40+ minutes several times. Instead of fixing the damage or allowing me to use my own detailer, they refused to pay for repairs, wasted my time, and even called the police to threaten trespassing. Their handling of this situation was completely unprofessional and dishonest. I have photos, videos, and documentation proving their negligence and deception. I’m filing formal complaints with NJ Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Volkswagen Corporate. I will be taking legal action to recover the cost of a full paint correction. UPDATE: After continued follow-ups, the dealership agreed to issue a $250 reimbursement check, and I will be using my own professional detailer to correct the damage. If they ever claim they are the only ones allowed to fix damage they caused, that is false and violates federal and state consumer protection laws. I’m still waiting to receive the check and will consider the matter resolved once it clears. More
We brought our 2009 VW Beetle convertible in after the SECOND rear window failed within 6 months of the other one. First, beware - this service center charges a 2.7% fee for using a credit card. Unheard SECOND rear window failed within 6 months of the other one. First, beware - this service center charges a 2.7% fee for using a credit card. Unheard of at any other dealership. To save the fee, you must pay cash or with a check. A check? really? It's 2023. Ridiculous. The service rep acknowledged the issue with the rear windows of this model vehicle failing. It was a defect VW allowed and never made an effort to correct. Instead of making a few calls to insure the parts were available, we were subjected to a $170.00 "diagnostics fee" to be applied if we had the work done there. After an estimated of $1570 to repair a window, we find out that the part, a regulator, is no longer available. So we left the service department at Jack Daniels as we arrived with a broken window and a $170.00 charge plus a credit card fee, all of which could have been avoided if they simply researched the issue on line or on the phone first. But I guess they really needed that $170.00 from us. I will buy a VW again, nor deal with the Jack Daniels auto group. Beware. More
I’ve had no issues with them as I bought my car from this dealership in 2020, however, not only did they not give me a spare key, the key that I had for a mere 3 years broke as I was taking it out of the ign dealership in 2020, however, not only did they not give me a spare key, the key that I had for a mere 3 years broke as I was taking it out of the ignition. I was told misinformation which caused my brand new key that I bought not to work (it worked one time then it didn’t) because of this I missed two days of work. I called Monday morning since they hung up on me Friday evening right before they closed, and spoke with several people including the general manager. I believe the names of the very rude and unhelpful people were Beverly, Lexus & Don. Due to the misinformation I was told it cost me time and wages which they refused to make right or offer any type of discount or compensation. They were all very rude due to the 1 star review I left Friday evening after being hung up on and stranded without a car since my brand new key didn’t work all of a sudden. They refused to make things right and were very unprofessional about it, essentially calling me a liar stating that what I was told makes no sense. Like I said, I think this place is great but the people at the service/parts center are super rude and not accommodating whatsoever. I got my key programmed from a local auto locksmith as I much rather give my money to a small business that treats their customers properly. More
Paul Perado was absolutely amazing from the minute I got on the phone with him until we finalized our finance agreement. He was on top of everything from getting us in and out of Volkswagen in an extremely on the phone with him until we finalized our finance agreement. He was on top of everything from getting us in and out of Volkswagen in an extremely timely manner to calling our insurance company to make sure we had all the paperwork we needed and we were good to go. We will definitely be working with him in the future. We already have him on the hunt for a car for our daughter. We highly recommend working with Paul!!! More
