That gave me pause - I did a price check with Monroe in Haverhill and they quoted me $500. My car was already on the lift at Jaffarian and I was in a quandry as to which way to go. Summary of my experience: I've been a regular customer of Jaffarian for 10 years, and purchased 7 cars, all of them serviced at Jaffarian, except new tires as your price is too high. I am now determined to look elsewhere for service due to your very high prices. The repair work is fine - your price for repair is just not market- competitive. No loyal customer advantage for staying with Jaffarian for so many years. More
Everyone has a bad day I'm not sure where to begin. My experience with the service department is usually great at Jafarian but yesterday was an interesting experience. It seemed very obvious that the associate behind the counter was overwhelmed and stressed. In general, they seemed understaffed. I have even encountered this associate before on previous visits and yesterday was just not his day. When I arrived I was "greeted" by an older gentleman who's greeting abilities were rather rough around the edges. I couldn't tell at first if he was an employee or just came in off the street and was not comfortable giving him my keys. (He did later apologize for his rough approach and seemed nice enough.) I had originally my appointment was for my 90,000 mile check-up. The "Overwhelmed/Stressed Associate" behind the counter made sure I was aware that it's a big appointment, that can take 5 hours and the cost is usually around $500. I appreciated the heads up but was confused because I took it appon myself to call ahead two days before to better understand what went into this appointment. Over the phone, I was told by a Toyota Service employee that is would take around 2-2 1/2 hours and the cost would range from $250-$450 depending the service level, if any parts were in need of repair or replacing. I wasn't upset about the conflicting stories I received, just confused and told "Overwhelmed/Stressed Associate" that I was told something different over the phone. He brushed it off and said that I need to make sure I speak to the correct department when I call. Does that mean when I call and ask for "Toyota Service" that I'm doing it wrong?? I didn't understand that explanation. This whole interaction took way longer than it should because the poor associate was trying to answer the phones, answer the mechanics' constant questions, find a customer whose car horn was going off in the garage because they couldn't disingage the car's breathelizer. It was chaotic to say the least and I felt bad for "Overwhelmed/Stressed Associate". In the end, I wound up just getting an oil change as I wasn't prepared to be without my car for 5 hours. (I was offered a free rental, however.) my oil change took an acceptable amount of time and the rest of my experience was business as usual. I'm chalking this up to just a bad day and plan on returning. I do hope however, that when I return there will be more staff behind the counter. More

oil change/20000mile service I think the service tech needs to slow down and double check his work because he forgot to tighten the oil plug after changing the oil. If I was not watching for oil drips under the car it could have cause real bad damage. I do not hold it against him or her because we are all human and we can make mistakes at times. After seeing the drips I brought it back and it was corrected in a timely manner and no fuss was made. I hope you all keep up the good work and all I ask is for the guys to just double check yourself so there will be happy customers like me. thanks guys for all you do. More
