"Pick up and delivery"

- Park place

I purchased a new F Type from Jaguar of Plano/Grapevine last year. The dealership is located in Plano but they are planning to move to Grapevine by end of June 2017. Grapevine is a bit of a distance for us to get to and there are no other Jaguar dealerships in the area. I asked for a pick up and delivery since they will be too far away from us but they refused to do it.

"the worst service department experience ever "

- Unhappy service customer

I took my 2000 S type - a car that wins when it is in the Jaguar car shows for customized cars - the car only has 19,000 miles and has never driven in the rain. The car had an electrical problem - the part had to come from England. Every other luxury dealer would have called me with an update on receiving the part and how long it would take to install the part. 4 weeks later with no communication, my husband called. They located the part which they had received and installed it , leaving a message that it was ready for pick up When we arrived - we found that they had left the car outside in the 100 degree heat for 3 weeks - and the headliner had come loose and fallen down in back so that it covered the back window . If the service tech has even looked at it , he would have seen there was no rear vision - the car should never have been delivered this way. Any other dealer , with a decent service tech , would have looked at the car before calling us to pick up and told us about the headliner . We would have told them to send it out and repair - we didn't Question the price on the part from England and would have been fine with the cost to repair of the headliner. We were so mad about the LACK OF SERVICE experience that we drove the car home and ended up denting the car when my husband backed into the garage. I complained and they offered to pick the car up and have the liner repaired . Because they delivered the car in dangerous condition , I thought they should repair the dent . They did not agree . When I spoke with the service manager , he tried to defend the service rep - telling me that since I was planning to sell the car, I shouldn't expect them to give me the same kind of service that someone who recently purchased a car. In addition , the interior had grease stain. So , if your car isn't new and/or you don't plan to purchase one soon , then expect second class treatment

I threw the card away and I spoke with the service manager

Jaguar Land Rover DFW responded

Hello, We understand your frustration and concerns. After speaking with the dealership team, we’ve learned that your regular third-party service center was unable to replace the part you’d needed, which is why the vehicle was brought to us for the special order. Since you were in the hospital at the time, the dealership kept the car for a few weeks. When you picked up your vehicle, the headliner was not down, but fell on the way home. Park Place Dealerships would certainly not deliver or release a vehicle in a state of disrepair. We offered to send someone out to look at the headliner, but you declined.

"Love this place!"

- Vicki J

I bought my XJL about a year and a half ago from Park Place Jaguar in Plano and this is by far, the best dealership I have ever done business with. Everyone from sales and service are friendly and so helpful. It is so nice to go to a place and be treated so well, in this world that customer service seems to be severely lacking.

"This dealership should be the example for others"

- AgentDFW

I could go on and on about this dealership, but the fact that they treated me like a human being, where other Jaguar dealerships failed to, is the reason I ended up purchasing a car from here. They continue to impress both my wife and I with their service department as well. I can not say enough that if you purchase a car from here then they will go above and beyond in making sure that your Jaguar experience is superb!!! This place is great!!!

"Excellent Customer Service"

- DougRoark

Park Place Jaguar Plano has provided excellent customer service. I started out utilizing them when I had a Jaguar I did not buy from them, but they treated me from the start as a valued current customer. That experience led me to buy my next two Jaguars from them. Truly exceptional and friendly. Paul Light was informative and a pleasure to work with! D. Roark

"Stay away"

- obinna8

I had the Check Engine Light of my 2009 Jaguar XF light up and took it to this dealer who sent it in to Jaguar. To cut the long story short the diagnosis was that they had to reset the computer (at 0 cost). It was a simple procedure for them. Why is it that when I get my vehicle back, the engine fan would switch on and keep running for about 5 minutes after I shut down the engine. Come to find out, they had ruptured the thermostat in the process, and now my car was running hot and the car would cool off itself by switching on the fan. Shortly after this repair, the CEL lights up again, I take it to the dealer who takes it in to Jaguar, and now I am told the car has a bad passenger side bearing that made it undriveable (I had absolutely no problems in my wheel or drive train prior to bringing it in to the shop. no noise, no clanking, no wobbling, nothing). Now all of a sudden the bearing is so bad that it makes a loud clanging sound and is strongly recommended I fix it . They were going to charge me nearly $2,000 to fix both the thermostat and bearing (a problem they created), and ensured that I left the car in their shop by telling me the car was undriveable. I decided to repair just the bearing (~$700), as at least, I could drive the car off their lot. With my car going off extended warranty shortly after the first "repair" where they possibly deliberately damaged my thermostat, I got my car back after having them replace my bearing just so I can drive off their lot with the exact problem that brought the car to their repair center in the first place. The level of service only screams incompetence. I love my Jaguar XF, but I can comfortably say, I will never buy a Jaguar ever again. It is not the car that's the problem, it is the dubious or incompetent mechanics at the dealer who do not have an honest bone in them. I feel straight up hosed by these people, and they will never see a red cent of my money ever again.

"I went in initially due to a faulty fuel gauge. They..."

- jfintexas@gmail.com

I went in initially due to a faulty fuel gauge. They replaced fuel talk under warranty and noted I needed new back brakes in order to avoid replacement sensors and warped rotors. They also prescribed a full wheel alignment, and a tire rotation and balance. My car is a 2010 with 27,000 miles so I agreed to the repairs. Long story short. I had to return to the dealership 3 times to "attempt" to resolve alignment issues (and the issue still exists). There is no possible way they even tested the repairs because the issues were evident less that one block from leaving the dealer. In the end I was charged service repairs to remediate alignment problems that I never noticed before. To add insult to injury, my steering column was making a grinding noise when moving into position. They agreed to add lubrication to remedy the issue. I enter into my car after the third visit and the noise is immediately evident. I have given up on this dealer and unfortunately the other Jaguar dealer in the area is owned by the same dealer group. I have made an appointment at an independent service facility to get the alignment issues resolved. I plan to go directly to Jaguar with a complaint.

- Jagman567

It was required to return to the dealership 3 times to resolve service issues. In the end I was charged service repairs I believe we're actually caused by improper service to begin with. The service manager did not reurn my phone call until after I went directly to Jaguar with a complaint. For a company with a slogan of Service Excellence, I think they have a long way to go to understand what that means.

- acceleratedmotion

The purchase experience was good. The service there is horrendous. On top of them no knowing anything about the Lotus' they sell, my wife was told--while I was out of town--to have a $500 service done that had already been done. They stole a brand new Bosch Icon windshield wiper and replaced it with a terrible, cheap piece of junk that smears. When I call, they put me to Roy's voicemail even though he's there. He won't call back and they won't let me talk to a manager. Total scam!

"I bought my new XF from Mike Cotroneo and he promised me..."

- daiwarrantyman

I bought my new XF from Mike Cotroneo and he promised me a great experience and he has delivered. Michelle is one of the best service advisors I have ever dealt with. The experience I had most recently was as follows: About a month ago I was traveling on hwy 67 in Duncanville going about 60 miles per hour. I hit a piece of pipe in the road and totally blew out my right front tire. I thought I was going to lose control of my car but the XF held steady. I pulled off the side of the highway. It was about 7pm . It was a cold rainy and windy night and I was in no mood to deal with this. I called Jaguar road assist and they were unbelieveably helpful. They pinpointed my exact location through my cell phone and gps in about 45 seconds and had roadside assistance on the way to me as we talked . They got there in about 15 minutes. They changed my tire and had me on my way in very short order. The man I dealt with from Jaguar assist called me back several times to make sure roadside service had arrived and that I was ok. I was completely satisfied and impressed. Mike Cotroneo promised me a great experience and I`m here to say he was right. Oh he even calls me regularly to see if I need anything. Now that`s service !!!
