I was promised on a “we owe” that I was going to get my rear tail fender fixed and back passenger right door fixed. When I called they said they have no record of that and hung up on me. They wrote it down rear tail fender fixed and back passenger right door fixed. When I called they said they have no record of that and hung up on me. They wrote it down physically on a “we owe” paper and never transferred the information to the online system and now makes me look like I’m not being truthful. If this is how sales managers do business here then I will not ever be coming back or recommending anyone here. More
The experience with everyone was great, until I noticed the add ons that were not explained after the transaction, I noticed a week later. First, I was forced to put a 1900$ coverage for cosmetic coverage the add ons that were not explained after the transaction, I noticed a week later. First, I was forced to put a 1900$ coverage for cosmetic coverage which I tried to decline. Fine, with that, dealership fees, and tag transfer, it put me from 24k to about 27k, it was a used Lexus. I also added gap, which finance told me I needed to put gap plus to “make the deal work”. A week later the car was totaled. The pay off from my insurance, said it was 34k! Since they put my contract on a weird little chip I couldn’t even access it. I had to get an adapter for my computer, in order to see that the finance guy added a few other items that I was not aware of. Everywhere I signed, he gave me a little brief summary of what I thought the pages I was signing was for. He was not transparent with me, he was not honest. I do not appreciate that. Finance guy never even gave his name, I just know he worked Colonial Ford I believe, prior to Sarasota. More
We negotiated a price on a vehicle which now included a random $2K which was not included in the advertised price. I expressed my intent to charge the first $5k on my CC for the rewards. Once we get to t random $2K which was not included in the advertised price. I expressed my intent to charge the first $5k on my CC for the rewards. Once we get to the finance office I am told that they only allow $2,500 and that there is a 3% fee for using a CC which was never mentioned during negotiations. They could see my frustration so they took care of the 3%, but when it came time to hand over the keys they only had one key!!! They said I could get one made, no kidding. We have had the car a week and have already had to replace the battery! More
I bought a slightly used 2024 Chevrolet Malibu. Purchase experience was great. Love the car. But there is one popped out corner of body panel near the front passenger headlight. They said they woul Purchase experience was great. Love the car. But there is one popped out corner of body panel near the front passenger headlight. They said they would take care of it and secure it back in place. They ordered a clip and I brought in a week later. While there, the service tech said he would need to order another part and set up an appointment, same time, a week later. I called the day before to make sure the part was delivered and appointment was set for the next morning before driving the 80 miles from my home in Wesley Chapel. I found out a part was not ordered and I did not have an appointment. They said someone will get back with me. After another call and an email to another dealership rep that I had communicated with previously, still no contact from them. I guess if they keep on ignoring me, the issue might go away. I assume because my vehicle they sold me is not a Jaguar or Land Rover, and that they have to take off the front bumper to complete the repair, they hope I will let it go. I had suggested earlier to them if I could take it to Morgan Chevrolet (also part of the Morgan Automotive Group as is Jaguar Sarasota) in Tampa since it is a lot closer to my house and they are more familiar repairing Chevrolet vehicles, but my sales rep said she talked to her manager and for the repair to be pro bono, it would have to be serviced at Jaguar/Land Rover Sarasota. My experience extends as far as the Service Department, however, I couldn't be more impressed by my Service advisor, Ms. Michelle Lane, located at the Sarasota dealership. He was also very polite yet concise in his use of language, not subjecting us to time-wasting sales spiel that can happen in car dealerships! More
A number of issues are responsible for this 1-star rating. I am not someone who posts reviews, so it had to be a pretty bad experience for me to take the time to write this. First, while finishing rating. I am not someone who posts reviews, so it had to be a pretty bad experience for me to take the time to write this. First, while finishing up the purchase, my new (used) vehicle was supposed to be in the back being detailed. That didn't happen. There is still paint residue on the back window, that we pointed out. And the interior was not cleaned adequately. Ok, not that big of a deal. I can let that slide. But a week after purchase, we traveled 1,000 miles to our vacation home and I already have a service appointment scheduled here in Ohio for a couple issues that we experienced on that trip. So much for their multi point inspection guarantee. Or is that just for Jags and Land Rovers? I also received a call from the dealership that there was an issue with my trade in title being from another state, and I needed to sign a power of attorney. They had already overnighted it to my Florida address. I am not there, I am 1,000 miles away. So they emailed it to me. Fine. But at my vacation home, I am literally 30 minutes away from a printer and a UPS store. Needless to say, I had to go a bit out of my way to get this handled. Not even a thanks or an email that it was received back from them. Almost a month following this purchase, my trade in had still not been paid off. When I called and asked for an explanation, I found that they had mailed the pay off to the wrong bank. My credit union had never heard from anyone at this dealership for a pay off quote or to request a mailing address. I had to provide the correct address. How does that even happen?! I was told they'd get it handled and he would "talk with me first thing Monday." While it is now fixed, I never got a call, just an email with the tracking information on the new pay off. None of these issues are acceptable from a reputable dealership, especially a luxury car dealer. Was it because I purchased a used Mazda and not a new $200K Land Rover? So, that's it. One-star. Overall, terrible experience. While I really like my new/used car, I could not in good conscience ever return to Jaguar Sarasota. My business is not valued there. More
