My experience on New Year's Eve 2025 was an absolute nightmare of BAIT-AND-SWITCH EXPERIENCE! Do NOT trust Jarrett-Gordon Lincoln in Winter Haven! My experience on New Year's Eve 2025 was an absolute nightmare of deception and outright rudeness. Sales manager Vadim Petrov sent me an attractive deal via text on December 30 after I was already signing for another car elsewhere. It took them forever to get approval compared to other dealerships. I called Vadim multiple times and specifically asked: "Is this the final deal? Will there be any changes or surprises when I arrive?" He reassured me repeatedly – yes, it's final and approved. We drove 2 hours from Ocala to Winter Haven on December 31 (New Year's Eve), en route to Naples for vacation, with the car packed full. Everything seemed fine until we sat down with Business Manager Michael Vasquez. He presented completely different numbers – at least $10,000 MORE than the written offer from the day before! We were shocked and showed him the text message from Vadim (apparently, they have a "company policy" of no official paperwork – now I see why!). Michael's reaction? Pure anger and frustration directed at US. He stormed out, came back with a slightly different deal (still about $5,000 higher), and arrogantly said he's "very busy" – sign immediately or leave! We had already canceled the other deal, were far from home on holiday, and felt trapped. We signed just to salvage our New Year's plans, but the mood was completely ruined. This dealership lures people from hours away with "great deals" over phone/text (never in writing), then hikes the price when you arrive after a long drive. It's a disgusting bait-and-switch tactic. As a businessman with over 35 years of experience, I've never seen such lack of integrity. Real businesses honor their offers and own mistakes – they don't bully customers. If this is how GM Mr. Mike Demalia runs things, it speaks volumes. I will NEVER return and urge everyone to stay far away. Save your time, money, and sanity – go elsewhere! Leon Lurie P.S. I received a text from Vadim the next day with some kind of weird apology. I’m leaving it here in full so everyone can see the level of negligence from this company: “Mr. Lurie, good morning, sir. im just wanted to apologize for your experience. me, as part of sales team- i did everything prior to your visit. made sure we have approval with right stuff in there and provided you all the info based of what we had on file with Lincoln. even asked upfront about proof of residence for Bella. i just wanted to understand, that me and Victor- we did everything to make sure you are good to go and everything is good. please consider that, sir. we wish you to have excellent 2026 year, good time with your family and let all of them and you to be safe and happy, Mr. Lurie. thank you again.” When I asked him about the situation we faced, his answer was short and rude: “You don’t like a deal - bring us car back!” He didn’t even acknowledge what I was talking about! It wasn’t about the deal - it was about the totally different payments we were quoted on the spot compared to what we had been approved for over the phone and text! Unbelievable negligence! P.P.S. I also want to add my real, heartfelt thank you to another manager - Victor Ballesteros - who went above and beyond to provide outstanding service and tried to smooth over this terrible situation.
