I did meet with Joe who was a nice guy but I don’t think he really adequately explained the lifetime power train warranty or the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty clearly. His explanation about “buying down” my interest rate with the lender if I bought the extended warranty for $3,961 was confusing. Because it was late and I didn’t have time to think about it clearly, I agreed to purchase both. In retrospect neither of them made good financial sense for me. I attempted to cancel both and he told me that the power train warranty could not be cancelled so I am out $1,495 plus tax on that…I am not happy about that at all. The extended bumper to bumper warranty is being cancelled fortunately. Overall I am happy with my purchase and really liked working with Vadim. I just didn’t really appreciate Joe’s tactics regarding the warranties…it could be a simple misunderstanding and he was a nice enough guy. i think he was trying to do right by me. I just didn’t have adequate time to digest it all before signing the paperwork (which isn’t his fault). To be clear this isn’t a complaint against Joe. But I am not happy that the power train warranty isn’t refundable / cancellable. More
