He thoroughly inspected the MDX himself to notify me of any imperfections he could find which I was extremely happy with his attention to detail to make sure there were no surprises after driving 5.5 hours with 3 kids! He got as much of the paperwork he could done before we got there to make the time at the dealership as smooth as possible! I truly felt that we were treated just as well buying a used car as if we were there to purchase a brand new car. The dealership itself is VERY nice and they go beyond the typical cookies and coffee that most other dealerships offer, makes me wish I could go to Jay Wolfe Acura for my MDX's service, but sadly its a bit far for an oil change! Thank you again Norm for going out of your way to make sure we had a great experience! We LOVE our MDX! More

Service is horrendous. My car was having electrical issues. Gauges shown battery and brake light on constantly after replacing dash lights. Alternator tested bad while on My car was having electrical issues. Gauges shown battery and brake light on constantly after replacing dash lights. Alternator tested bad while on the car but test good on a Bench Test. I changed the Alternator 2 times, both times its tested fine off the vehicle on a bench test. When in the car alt was not charging the battery. I told the Service Rep the situation and that something was making the alternator not charge the battery, but the alternators Bench Tests as good (2 separate alts) so its NOT the alt. The next day the Rep calls to say his "Certified Mechanic" says the alternator is bad. I disagreed, and suggested they should test signal from Computer to the Alternator, and the Body Control Modules that may be interfering with the ECU. When I went to pick it up 10 mins later, the Rep told me that he had to go by the diagnosis of his Mechanic and it was indeed the alt. I reminded him of the alts testing good off the car but bad on the car. They DIDNT bother to test the Alt off the car. Rep then said he would have to charge me more if he wanted me to test further, or that if I subsequently had a shop diagnose and solve the problem other than a bad Alt, then his Manager and Acura would make it right with me. I left and went to put a Brand New Alternator in (2 hours time) which tested good but tested bad when on the car(30 mins). I called the Rep back to let him know of the current status. He said that I might have been correct about it not being the Alt as the problem, and to contact him when fixed and he promised he would make it right. I took the car to another shop, which stranded me on the way there due to driving only on battery power. I had to get a friend to give me a ride to get a battery and switch batteries so I could make it to the shop(2.5hrs). I dropped the car off and shop called me next day with no answer. I made some suggestions that he was receptive to and brought him the Honda Shop Manual pages with diagnostic procedures for alt and Body Control Modules.(1hr) Before he started the procedures, I suggested that I inspect the Gauge connectors to make sure none were bent or touching each other. I pulled the dash console (that I had replaced bulbs in before problem occurred) and noticed that one connector was not plugged in completely. With the Gauge Cluster completely removed and unplugged, the alternator tested good. Reinstalled, the problem Brake and Battery lights were now off, and the alternator was working correctly.(1hr) I went home, but the next day I had to have someone give me a ride to pick up the car (1hr) 8 hours of my time plus 2nd shops time and an additional $100. I brought the bill to Acura thinking they would make it right and pay for the additional money I had to pay someone else to solve the problem, not to mention my 8 hours, aggravation, and frustration that Acura wouldnt listen to me. They refused to make it Right and pay for the additional $100. They would only refund their $72 they charged me. Then the Manager then tried to say that because I had never done business with them before that he...(at this point I cut him off in disbelief). He refused to compensate me an additional $28 to make me feel good and made Right as promised. End result: Wolfe Acura doesnt listen to customers concerns or description of problems, they improperly diagnose with arrogance, unwilling to think outside the box, are unwilling to try switching out a bad part to make a customer feel satisfied as to their diagnosis. They were never earnestly apologetic (if any expressed), nor bending over backwards to keep a new customer that was treated poorly. More
Trade in of MDX I needed to trade my 2017 MDX for something a little smaller. Jimmy listened to me and we were able to come to a fair trade seal on a 2018 Audi Q5.
