From the information we were able to gather, it looks like the service department was at the mercy of the extended service contract provider on what they could do to fix the problem and would still be covered by their policy. Unfortunately, things like this are not left up to the repair facility, whether a dealer or otherwise. If the extended service contract company states they will only cover certain repairs or items, than as a repair facility, that is all we can do to repair a vehicle unless the owner of the vehicle is willing to pay the difference. We are sorry that the extended service contract provider would not allow us to do more and for any misunderstanding this may have caused. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

While they may not have been able to help you with trading in your vehicle, you may want to consider contacting the manufacturer directly to see if your vehicle may qualify under the terms of the "Lemon Law."
