We were forced to pull of at the next exit for repairs, which landed us next door to this Wyler Dodge dealer in Ft. Thomas, KY. I decided to go next door and see what they had, thinking maybe they had a used Camry hybrid from a trade-in that would cost us less than the 2015 we were planning to buy. My husband and I were only interested in a Camry hybrid with a light color interior, which is what I told Tim Moore, the amazing young salesman who greeted me at the door. Tim had only been in his job at Wyler for 2 months and was eager to learn anything he could even if he wasn't making a sale. He told me they didn't sell Camry's but he would go online to see if he could help us find a better car or deal than the car we were on our way to buy. After a lengthy search, no Camry hybrids with a light interior turned up at all, and 2016s were nonexistent. That was that, I thought. But Tim didn't stop searching! After another 10 minutes he announced he had found a 2016 Camry hybrid at a Wyler dealership in Clarksville, Indiana. We had looked online the day before and found none. There wasn't even information about their release date online, so we never even considered a 2016. The car Tim located was the maroon color we wanted with a light interior and every bell and whistle available, plus it was a good deal relative to car we were going to buy that was a model year older and lacking the safety technology package we really wanted. We were so excited to find this car - and Toyota was already offering good incentive rebates and 0% financing for 60 months. A phone call to the Wyler Toyota dealership in Clarksville, Indiana got the ball rolling with a wonderful salesman named Tom Schreier. We not only didn't have to fight for a good deal but it was a wonderful experience in which Tom even sweetened the deal! When we told him we would make a downpayment and drive the 2 hours to get the car in a few days, he told us not to worry about it. He said he would send it up to us that very day, with a chase car and driver to bring that driver home! While we were in negotiations with Tom, Tim, our local salesman at Wyler in Fort Thomas slipped off to talk to his manager. The next thing we knew he was giving us a loaner car to use for free while our car was being serviced at the tire dealer next door! We were able to go home, handle all the financing details online and come back several hours later to do the purchase paperwork at Wyler of Ft. Thomas and drive our new car home! The amazing thing is that Tim didn't make a sale, yet gave us a great deal of his time and went the extra mile to get us a loaner car even though his dealership, while under the Wyler umbrella, didn't make a sale. I asked Tim what we could do for him to thank him for all his help and he said he was happy to bring a sale into the company while meeting our needs as a customer. All he asked was that we review the experience we had with Wyler. My husband and I will be telling this story for a long time to come and referring people to the Wyler family of dealerships and salespeople. The drivers, Jim Rich and Buddy Clark, who brought us the car were very gracious even after the highway was shut down due to an accident, delaying their arrival. They both had all good things to say about how much they liked working for Wyler and how well the company treated them. I'm sold in more ways than one! My experience at Jeff Wyler was different I genuinely (but passionately) dislike car salesman because I have found many to be of questionable ethics. My experience at Jeff Wyler was different. Having come to it after a miserable experience at another dealership (during which I was lied to and induced to negotiate an offer on a vehicle that the dealership knew it didn't have), I was braced for more unpleasantness when I visited JW. I received candor and fair dealing throughout every aspect of the selection and purchase. I also received service from Lakin Hatton that went over and beyond all expectations. Several days after purchasing the new vehicle, I drained the battery while trying to learn the technology. I called Lakin, who responded immediately (even though he was on personal time), to give the vehicle a jump and to provide an extended tutorial to me on the technology. I have no doubt that if I have additional questions or difficulty, he will respond the same way. His (and JW's) commitment to customers well after the dotted line has been signed is refreshing and deserving of repeat business. I recommend Lakin and JW without reservation. More
