Let the Buyer Beware! Less than ethical behavior. I had spoken to one of the internet sales representatives about the lease offer from Toyota on a 2014 Prius Two. These terms were widely advertised and the price was fixed at around $219 per month for a two year lease. I was new to leasing and wanted some clear information to share with my wife in order to make a sound decision. When I walked into the dealership, the sales rep I had spoken to was not available and it was a busy day, so I was assisted by one of the internet sales team. I do not fault him for my experience as I believe my experience was and is due to a conscious management policy, so I will not mention his name. He was very polite and simply appeared to be carrying water for the manager on duty, who was Brent Mattingly, according to a written proposal that I was given. I clearly stated that I was in the fact finding stage but that I was very interested in the leasing arrangement for a new Prius. I told the sales person that under no circumstances would I make a purchase that day as my wife is the financial "brains" of the operation and that I wanted to get all of the facts and discuss it with her prior to making a firm decision. After I had my questions answered regarding everything but price, the salesperson went to the manager to get a price quote. He came back with a proposal that involved payments in the $430 per month range. I told him that I had seen a firm price of $219 a month and that something must be wrong or that someone may have misunderstood something along the way. At that point I was led down a typical car sales road, with the salesperson attempting to get to a figure that I would accept. When I asked him to go back and double check the figures, he came back with another proposal that again was not near what the Toyota lease promotion specified. The new proposal required a down payment of $4500 cash (only half of which was legitimate as tax, tag and documentation). So the dealership was attempting press me to accept lease terms approximately $2250 over the standard lease arrangement being offered by the manufacturer. Someone who was not as well informed about the national lease campaign may very well have assumed that was the best deal he/she could get and get pressured into signing a lease agreement that was $2250 over what Toyota was offering. I knew something was wrong and despite his attempts to get me to agree to a deal, I thanked the salesperson, took the written proposal and left the dealership. I went directly to another dealer across the river (see my other review), got the information I requested, confirmed my original understanding of what the lease deal was and signed a deal with the Louisville dealer the next day. Now some may say that Wyler Toyota was just trying to get the highest price they could for the car. However, Toyota was offering this promotional lease option, I assume to get rid of an abundance of inventory. I'm sure they would not be happy to know that Wyler Toyota was trying to jack up the price as high as they could, negating the integrity of the national campaign. I have done business with this dealership in both sales and service intermittently for the past 25 years. Never under this ownership, but under the name of Greentree Toyota. I had always found them to be professional and straightforward in their dealings and I appreciated the friendlier, less pressured service that I had gotten from them in the past. That's why I went to them originally over a closer dealer in Louisville. Last week, the original internet sales manager/rep I had spoken to called me to see if I was still interested in leasing a Prius. I shared with him my experience and my suspicions that what I had experienced was their default way of doing business. I told him that I was planning to write a letter to the owner and to contact the sales entity that supervises his dealership. He expressed regrets that I had had a bad experience but in no way negated what I had shared with him. He did not claim that I was mistaken, passively confirming to me that what I had experienced was not an aberration. He said that that his dealership was highly rated and that very few Southern Indiana customers went anywhere else for Toyota's. Having lived in Southern Indiana for quite a few years, I suggested that the river runs wide and deep for many people in the area and that it didn't surprise me that many Southern Indiana people would not question what they were told there and would purchase from them despite some misgivings. So I'm sharing this experience to help others in the area know of the sales methods being employed at Jeff Wyler Toyota. If I had not been informed or was easily swayed from the information I received from them, I would have been paying TWICE as much per month for this car and double the down payment. Let me be clear. If this had been a SALE and not a NATIONAL Toyota LEASE offer, I would not be faulting this dealership with trying to get the most they can for a car. But I'm confident that Toyota will not be happy that they are attempting to subvert a national lease promotion to reduce excess inventory with bait and switch sales practices. I consider myself a fair-minded person. So I plan to watch for the next national lease promotion by Toyota and will ask a friend to go to this dealership to see if they experience the same unethical leasing tactics. If I can update this review at that time, I will do so. Until then, please be aware of my experience. I will not do business with this dealership in either sales or service unless I get evidence that they are no longer employing these practices. More

Loving me some Toyotas!! Only at Jeff Wyler :) I had the same 1991 Toyota Camry since I was 15 years old up until December 2012. After graduating from nursing school I decided to reward myself wit I had the same 1991 Toyota Camry since I was 15 years old up until December 2012. After graduating from nursing school I decided to reward myself with a new car. I went to Toyota in Clarksville and I am beyond blessed to do so! I purchased an incredible 2013 Toyota corolla sport (a huge upgrade,) never in a million years did I think I would ever drive a brand new car with only 15 miles on it! These guys made that possible! But a year and a half later (along with two dogs later) my corolla wasn't quite big enough for our newly expanded family. I went in for a routine oil change and walked out with a brand spankin new 2014 rav4 xle. My ultimate dream car in size and color!! That right there goes to show how awesome this dealership is in regards to the best price for my specific situation. Jeff Wyler Toyota has not only fulfilled one car dream..but two in less than 2 years!! Not one time did I feel pressured by my incredible salesman Lakin to rush into something I wasn't ready for and fully explained every option out there to help me with my new purchase. I can't forget Brandon Beverly who made sure I was getting the best deal possible! If you asked me two years ago if I would ever lease a vehicle none the less two, I would tell you how crazy that sounds! We'll now I'm proud to say if it wasn't for Lakin, Brandon and all the other welcoming Jeff Wyler team members, I wouldn't own the car of my dreams! I even find myself taking longer routes so I can drive more! I love Toyotas and I can't imagine anyone would want to go anywhere else for an amazing new car!! Thanks so much Toyota.. These guys especially Lakin, deserve some recognition for the hard work and dedication for finding me a great new car! :) More

I had appointments on 2 Friday, The service at Jeff Wyler Toyota was excellent! They were very prompt and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had appointments on 2 Friday, one for an oil change and the other for a recall fix. Both times I was in and out with very little wait time. I barely had time to enjoy the coffee and donuts. Great Experience with Tom Schreier Tom was great to deal with. He showed up many cars of which we were interested in. We ended up making what we felt was a very good deal on a new 2014 Toyota Prius. I would highly recommend Tom for your sales representative. We have another Toyota Prius of an older model that we still have and very happy with. We had a 20 year Toyota Tercel that we sold and replaced it with the new Prius. Thus two Toyota Prius in our garage. I would like to say I have had a couple of issues with their service department in the past when dealing with some of the service department people. I recommend Ron in the service department. He makes sure everything is done correctly the first time and is very good to deal with. If you don't use Ron, well you might have issues. Thanks More

I soon received a call from Tim Patillo, Internet Sales Manager, and set up an appointment. When me and my wife arrived at Jeff Wyler, Tim was ready for our visit. We wanted to purchase a 2014 Toyota Highlander, and he knew the vehicle inside and out. We had a test drive, went over the options we wanted on the vehicle, which was followed by Tim presenting a price offer that was good/low enough for us to get every desired option on the vehicle (by essentially paying our sales tax.) The vehicle was factory order and we made the 170+ mile drive to close on it several weeks later. Once again, Tim was ready. He had Mr. Lakin Hatton, a man who is thoroughly knowledgeable about the technology of today's vehicles, give us a demonstration of all the computerized features of our Highlander, answered a lot of questions and set up our Entune app suite, which allows our cell phones to operate with Bluetooth. The final part, the financial part, with Ms. Anita Yancey, went equally well. Tim Patillo is a friendly, professional business man. I'll gladly drive from Tennessee to Clarksville, Indiana to work with him again. More

Definitely Not What I Expected! Don't let the title fool you! This was the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle! My son in law and I were greeted by Lakin Hatton when we arrived at the dealership and immediately we felt comfortable. At first I was discouraged thinking that they did not have one in the color I liked - (Black) but Lakin informed he had seen one earlier that had just arrived - not only did he greet us with the car but he answered all of our questions regarding the Corolla and the many changes they had made since my last Toyota (a 1995 Tercel) -- Lakin made the experience a blast and I felt comfortable through the entire process. What was more impressive was a few days after purchasing the vehicle I had discovered I had a small chip in the paint. Needless to say I was extremely upset. Not knowing what to do I called Lakin for advice. He assured me that everything would be ok, and he actually came to my house to check on me and look at the scratch in person! After looking at the scratch he informed me that the dealership would be more than happy to have it touched up and fixed for me at no charge! Needless to say I was extremely relieved and instantly felt better! Having not purchased a new vehicle in almost 20 years I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service and how Lakin went above and beyond to make sure I was happy not only throughout the process but more importantly after the sale!
