We went to Jenkins VW to speak to a representative about a used f150 at the Hyundai dealership next door. Our sales representative James was very honest as trustworthy in informing us that we would be bette a used f150 at the Hyundai dealership next door. Our sales representative James was very honest as trustworthy in informing us that we would be better off going to Hyundai to work a deal. He walked us over and spoke to the sales manager to assist in getting us a representative, which allowed us the very most unpleasant experience with Joesph (?). We already informed him that we were interested in numbers before trying to work a deal. We informed him that by checking public record on the VIN, that the vehicle was sold last year for around $25k with 20k less miles. The sales representative, who already had an attitude when he approached us, said “they won’t entertain that”. My boyfriend then asked “what would you like to do then? We don’t need a truck.” And the sales representative got a sales manager (name unknown) who came over and talked to us like we were immature children trying to waste their time. My boyfriend expressed that he knows all Public knowledge on the vehicle, and that again, we did not need to purchase the truck. The manager tried to “mansplain” how market value works, when my boyfriend sells vehicles, and I am an insurance agent who deals with market values all day. We were spoken to with an attitude of “I’m not dealing with this”. We told them we are good and will not be wasting anymore time, so we got up and walked out. As we walked out, a conversation between my boyfriend and I consisted of a sentence of “this place is a joke”. The wonderful sales manager and sales representative followed us out of the building and started to raise their voices at us stating we are not allowed to speak about their establishment in front of their customers. He tried to put papers in my boyfriends face and argue with a he said she said mentality in which I stepped in and told him that we NEVER asked to purchase the truck for $25k and $25k only. I informed the sales manager that we told his representative that we were just trying to make a deal to get around that IF possible. I told him we are good and that the conversation was over. The sales representative continued to bad mouth us stating these words and I quote “have fun trying to steal a truck from another dealership”. We ignored the comment, and went back to speak with the nice representative at VW James. While speaking with James we heard a squeal from next door. The angry sales representative Joseph did a BURN OUT in the truck we were inquiring about in front of customers!! So that comment about that dealership being a JOKE in front of customers, seems a bit accurate if I do say so myself!! The level of disrespect from this dealership is the most we have ever endured. I do not recommend this dealership and will NEVER recommend this dealership. Especially now knowing how they treat their customers AND vehicles when they don’t get their way!! Disgusting place and people. They say if you have a good experience, you tell 3 people. If you have a bad experience, you tell 10. That will never be a dealership that I recommend to any person. Edited to add: We spoke with Carlos at the VW dealership and he stated the only reason there is no wiggle room on the vehicle is because of the $4,900 in repairs that were made to the vehicle. With that being said, we were never made aware of any damages that were fixed on the vehicle from Hyundai, and were told that the price is what it is because of market value. KBB of a truck in EXCELLENT condition is maxed at $29k. With the damages mentioned, the truck is in fair condition maxing the KBB at $26k. We were not low balling our offer, especially since the tailgate is completely dented, along with new tires on the rear but used bald tires on the front that looked like they were driven thousands of miles with a bad alignment. Again, would never recommend Hyundai of leesburg. More
