Recall and other maintenance I have used Jerry Ulm Dodge for several years, I drive from Palmetto because I had a bad experience at the local dealership in Bradenton. I have alwa I have used Jerry Ulm Dodge for several years, I drive from Palmetto because I had a bad experience at the local dealership in Bradenton. I have always had great service until this most recent visit. I schedule an appointment for Saturday morning at 8 a.m. I arrive only to be told I am not on the schedule, however, I could speak to a service rep and they would hopefully be able to help me, which I did. I explained the reason I was there, I felt like I was an inconvenience to this specific service rep. I left my vehicle to get the recall taken care of and have them look at the tire pressure light that had come on while I was on my way to the dealership, and asked if they would check a slight vibration that happened sporadically. When I got the call from the service department, I was told I had a list of things that was wrong with my vehicle, one of which was when they drove it, it "vibrated violently while driving on the highway". I asked the estimate of the repairs and was told, "I'm not close to being done". I made the decision to only have the recall taken care of, and had to pay $164 diagnosis fee, which I understand there is a fee for a diagnosis, however, my car did not vibrate at all on the way to the dealership, nor did it vibrate on the way home, 45 minute drive. I then took it to Sarasota, and again, it did not vibrate at all. I feel like my vehicle was misdiagnosed only to bring money in to the dealership, or because I am female and don't know that much about vehicles. I am very disappointed and will not be bringing my vehicle back there. I use a local mechanic for minor repairs, however, relied on Jerry Ulm for larger repairs and obviously recalls. Generally okay I always take vehicle to Jerry Ulm for routine service. I pulled up to the express lane (mainly oil changes and other quick services) and noticed several cars lined up ahead of me. Understandable since it was a Saturday afternoon. The person directly in front of me was checking in with a service advisor as i pulled up. When the advisor was done they both walked back toward the building. I waited for about 10 min for someone to greet/write me up. Noone ever came back out. So my 2 young children and i had to walk into the service building to let someone know we were there. It seemed like everyone on staff was on break at the same time. One of the advisors then got my info and informed me it would be a 2hr wait. Not ideal but i understood. During my visit, i just felt like there wasnt a sense of urgency by the staff. The staff was polite though. More
Jeremy comes to the rescue. Made appointment on-line. Group of staff at the service drive couldn't seem to figure that out. Kept asking my service person's name. After awhile they got me with Jeremy. He took care of everything. First told it would be 4 hours for oil change, alignment, and tire rotation. Jeremy had it done in anout 2 hours. Hit on numerous times by sales people while walking to lunch - annoying. More
