Horrible experience. They don't have the vehicle offered. I waste time and money going there. They delay you, etc etc. They tried all the tricks to sell you a car and finance against your desire. After reading all the horrible reviews, I was very skeptical coming to this dealership. Did not expect to drive away with a car AT ALL! However, they made everything so smooth and easy. So I drove skeptical coming to this dealership. Did not expect to drive away with a car AT ALL! However, they made everything so smooth and easy. So I drove away a 2010 Lexus ES350 :) Initially, Maria (sales rep) contacted me after I put a few inquiries out online - she was nice and professional. When I came in on a Saturday afternoon, LeLe (sales rep) and Trish (finance manager) helped me. LeLe let me look and test drive the vehicles I liked. She gave me the CarFax report on the cars. The price online was good and, even though the final price was a little higher because I didn't qualify for the offers included online (the offers are listed right there, so I knew that), it was still somewhat below the Kelly Blue Book price. Before coming there, I shopped around quite a bit, and other dealers include numerous ridiculous fees, like the dealer fee and detail fee (Jersey City Ford had extra fees of almost $2,000!), but Hudson Kia only had the DMV fee (which was pretty much what the DMV charges) and a $299 doc fee, which is normal. The dealer includes a warranty on used vehicles, but my vehicle was newer with low mileage and still covered under the manufacturer's warranty, which was better anyway. Since it is an expensive used car, I was more comfortable if my mechanic looked at it. The dealership didn't have a problem with that and let me take the car that day if I left a small deposit. The deposit was fully refundable if my mechanic was to advise me against buying the car (I am a lawyer and was very skeptical about that so I made sure that I got everything in writing, including the fact that I didn't have to pay for mileage upon return; didn't sign the purchase contract either). Once my mechanic gave me heads up, I came back the following Monday evening (they close at 9 p.m., so there was plenty of time to come after work) and signed all the paperwork. They had everything ready and that took about 30 minutes. Fast forward to Wednesday the following week (only 11 days after I initially drove the car away and 9 days after I signed the paperwork), they had my plates and registration for me (I asked them to expedite this process because I live in Hoboken and need a parking permit, but I didn't expect this to be so fast!) END RESULT: I am now driving an awesome Lexus and the process from start to finish (including deciding on which car to buy, test driving, having my mechanic look at it, finalizing paperwork and getting plates) took me less than 3 hours total! Beyond satisfied :) And I walked out of at least 3 dealerships in the last 2 months after days of negotiations and communications, so I guess I am not easy to please. More
Four vehicles shown on website were unavailable when I visited dealership. Same vehicles still shown on website 4 days later. I Never received promised phone call from salesman for followup to let me kno visited dealership. Same vehicles still shown on website 4 days later. I Never received promised phone call from salesman for followup to let me know when similar vehicles would be available. They don't seem anxious to have my business at all. More
Do not buy a car here. Luckily I have a friend that was a mechanic otherwise I might have actually bought the car I was looking at. First, the car price was different. What they fail to tell you, unless you mechanic otherwise I might have actually bought the car I was looking at. First, the car price was different. What they fail to tell you, unless you actually wanted to buy the car, is that you have to qualify to receive the price that is listed. In order to qualify, you need to be able to "fit" there made up categories, which no one actually does. Therefore, expect to pay alot more money and do not expect to find out accurate information on the phone. Second, although the price was significantly higher, I still really loved the car I saw. To me, it looked perfect, it sounded good, the engine looked good, the car looked good, everything. Thank goodness for my mechanic friend. He noticed that the frame was all welded together. Meaning, the car was in two pieces at one time. When asking the sales rep questions, his response was continuously "I don't know I can show you the Carfax." However, if an accident is not reported then the Carfax won't show it. So not only was this guy trying to sell me a car that was unsafe, it was in poor condition, they lied, and they were trying to sell me a piece of junk for a really high price! I could only imagine what else was wrong with the car and all of the other cars in their lot! Also, after reading other reviews on this site and others, the VERY few good reviews they receive, sound like they were written by the owners of Hudson Kia themselves. If you look at them all, they all sound alike, using various names of employees and such, from my opinion. I would NOT recommend them to anyone unless you want a headache rather than a reliable car. SHADY!!! Drove 1 and a half hours to buy a car and they had it listed for a price of $11,795 and gave us a price of $17,999!! I asked the sales associate if his boss was stupid or just ignorant. Then after had it listed for a price of $11,795 and gave us a price of $17,999!! I asked the sales associate if his boss was stupid or just ignorant. Then after seeing all the incentives he put on paper I knew he was BOTH!! Please DO NOT be bothered with these shady businessmen. Avoid the stress and lies this company practices. More
Joke of a dealership. Went there to look at brand new Fortes. The salesman was helpful (duh) but it stopped there. First of all he wouldn't let me and my girlfriend take the car out for a test drive by o Fortes. The salesman was helpful (duh) but it stopped there. First of all he wouldn't let me and my girlfriend take the car out for a test drive by ourselves. We were well dressed, clean and articulate people, I did not come to a Kia dealer to joy ride a car. Three other Kia dealers I went to in Northern NJ all let me test drive cars alone without question. So I test drove a Forte SX but it wasn't the features I wanted. The salesman and his manager assured me they could find the exact one I wanted but refused to show me a printout on the exact car with a vin number but were all ready to take deposit. Found out one day later at another dealer that there was literally zero cars of that model and features left in the eastern US and this was at the 2012 model year end so you couldn't custom order a 12 anymore and couldn't order a 13 yet. It was apparent to me they planned to take my deposit and pawn off a different car on me even after I told him I was extremely specific on what I wanted. What a bunch of funny guys. Then the icing on the cake was the Kia.com printout of the model I wanted that he gave me and told me I would have to pay exact MSRP and they wouldn't budge. I may be only 22 years old but I am not stupid or naive and don't appreciate someone trying to pull a fast one on me. Next was trade in appraisal. LOL. They offered me 16k on a trade in that KBB and edmunds BOTH say is worth 21k in the condition it was in. I am not unreasonable and I didnt go in there expecting to get exact KBB value but still...$5,000 less?? They said they could go 500 more and that was it. When I asked okay where is the 5 thousand dollar difference coming from all he could do is babble on about auction price and bla bla bla. Nice try buddy. Long story short 2 weeks later when the 2013 were available on custom order I went to Motion Kia in northwest NJ and was offered 20k for my trade in and was sold the new car at INVOICE price. What a bunch of idiots at Hudson. More

I purchased a 2012 Kia Optima, and I love it. This vehicle is awesome, the UVO technology is powered by Microsoft and works like a charm. I recommend this dealership for their outstanding service and vehicle is awesome, the UVO technology is powered by Microsoft and works like a charm. I recommend this dealership for their outstanding service and hospitality. Most importantly, the saleman(Sean Corcoran) was professional and a class act. I switched from Lexus to Kia and there is no looking back, I am Kia for life! More
