Had tire rotation and alignment. Right away noticed noise. Would not give me an appointment to get vehicle back in for over a week. It took a long time to get my car back. I dropped my car off on Tuesday, June 21st because my air conditioning wasn't cooling completely (took 20 minutes to start getting cool). I was told when I dropped it off that they would run diagnostics on my car on Thursday or the latest Friday. I let my tech, Wyatt, know that we were leaving on vacation on Sunday and would really like to take this car because my husband's car was pretty small. He let me know that if it was just a low Freon issue, the diagnostic would actually fix the problem and I could pick up my car the same day. He let me know that if there was a broken part, they might have to order the part and it could take longer. Thursday passed and then Friday came. I texted around lunchtime on Friday and was informed that my car would need to be kept over the weekend and they wouldn't be able to do diagnostics until the following week. I asked if there was anything that could be done because we really wanted the car for vacation. He told me there were several technicians who had called in and they were running behind. I really wished someone would have called me instead of just waiting for me to text because we had to change how we were going to pack now that we had to take my husband's car and it had less trunk space. Monday came, Tuesday came (I sent a text to check on my car on Tuesday with no response), and I finally called the shop on Wednesday (while in the middle of Dollywood). I left a message and finally received a text back. I was told that the Freon was slightly low and they were checking to make sure there wasn't a leak. Once again, I wasn't informed of anything until I called. Thursday I was told that no leak was found and that I would be sent a payment email. I never received the payment request, so I sent another text on Friday. I finally received the payment request and paid immediately because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pick up my car once the shop closed down for the weekend. I did receive a text apology for the lack of communication, but overall I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone for the following reasons: 1. Instead of 24-48 hours for diagnostics (like I was told), my car waited 192 hours. 2. I was only told about the issues with my car after reaching out several times, I was never once contacted by my advisor before a call or text. 3. Every time I drop off my car, I am told one timeframe and get a much different one. Besides this incident, it has happened a few other times. A few months ago, I brought my car in because I was having issues with the gear shift (the car wasn't recognizing when it was in park). I was told they would run diagnostics and then submit the repairs through my extended warranty company. I never heard anything, so I called the shop a few days later and was told, "Oh yeah, Everything has been approved, do you want us to do the repairs?" I'm not sure how many days I would have waited to get that information had I not called to check on my car. I totally understand that things take time and people are dealing with being short-staffed, I just wish that this information was shared with customers. If I am thinking that my car is going to be seen in 2 days, and it takes 8- I'd like to know that. I have 2 teenage boys and work full time, so not having a car for an extended amount of time and not being informed of issues makes it very difficult to get my daily tasks done (thankfully I have been able to borrow a car from my family for extended amounts of time).
