I had three requests:1. Oil change - presumably I had three requests: 1. Oil change - presumably finished successfully, although it took 3+ hours even though I had an appointment. What is the po I had three requests: 1. Oil change - presumably finished successfully, although it took 3+ hours even though I had an appointment. What is the point of scheduling service if it can't be completed when scheduled? This is a general dealership issue, not specific to Jim Butler. 2. Look at automatic running boards - the service tech was unwilling and/or unable to perform even a cursory attempt at diagnosing the problem. I had explained both stopped at precisely the same time, that I had replaced the fuse, but they were not working. I asked if he could try putting in a Chevy fuse (the size I put in was about a half mm smaller than the original) and reset the system. He pretended to not even know what that meant, insisting that if the fuse was in it should be working. Strangely enough, it seems that when the fuse is replaced or the battery is disconnected, that the running boards are placed in storage mode. I have no idea how to check this, but the smugness and lack of willingness to try even the simplest of checks represented a laziness and lack of concern that assures I will not be back to do business with these folks. 3. Fix the door appliques that had become loose due to deteriorating adhesive. I asked them to "super glue" them back on, which apparently was taken as a literal directive, and I was told "we don't do that here" at the conclusion of my visit. What they did do was to tell me they could buy the parts for $400+ and put new ones on. But there is nothing wrong with the existing appliques, all they need is new adhesive. Presumably the new parts come with special adhesive only available with the complete package. Of course these are really more like $50 parts, at least on one GM website I found. But again, the laziness and smug attitude of the service tech was insulting and again ensures I will never do business with these people again. Seriously, they would need to apply an adhesive with new parts, why the heck can't they do it with a perfectly fine existing part? I should give this visit one star, but supposedly the oil was changed, or at least the indicator was reset. Given the demonstrated laziness and lack of basic common sense though, I really have to question. I am a lost customer, and I will at every possible chance try to steer others away from this place.
