I had my 2018 Silverado serviced with an oil change and tire rotation. One of my tires was low and they aired it up but they didn’t find why it was leaking air. It’s now low again. They told me the service tire rotation. One of my tires was low and they aired it up but they didn’t find why it was leaking air. It’s now low again. They told me the service time would be one and one half hours and that’s exactly how long it took. I really have no complaints. More
Everyone was very nice but what was supposed to be around a 3 hr wait was 4 1/2 hrs. That is way to long to have a person sitting in a waiting room. I was there 2 hrs before they came back to tell me what a 3 hr wait was 4 1/2 hrs. That is way to long to have a person sitting in a waiting room. I was there 2 hrs before they came back to tell me what was wrong. They said they could repair it and that would take another hour. I emphasized I had a 2 pm appt and would it be done as it was almost noon and I was assured it would be done. So I chose to wait. However, big difference between 1 more hour and 2 1/2. This I had to cancel a 2:00 pm appointment that I had made over a month ago. If he had said it would take several hours I would ha e come back another day. More

Sales dept is awesome. Service dept sucks! Nobody listens to the problem. Therefore it doesn't get fixed. Or they replace the wrong part or side. Then you have to make multiple trips. You are told parts will to the problem. Therefore it doesn't get fixed. Or they replace the wrong part or side. Then you have to make multiple trips. You are told parts will be ordered next, but dont hear from anyone for a week. Try and call and you get passed around or leave a voicemail msg that apparently they ignore for a day or 2. If your vehicle needs service, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! More
If I could leave zero stars I would. Where do I even If I could leave zero stars I would. Where do I even begin. I brought my car to Jim Butler in January of 2021 with rough idle and eventually the car would not turn over. My vehicle was there for two weeks before it was even diagnosed. After diagnosis it was determined that the car would need a new high pressure fuel pump, fuel lines, camshaft actuators, cam phaser, timing chains, timing chain tensioners, oil change and serpentine belt. After the work was “completed” on March 3rd of 2021 I picked up my vehicle with an empty tank of gas. I inquired about a safety and emissions inspection to which they said they could not perform until I drove the vehicle at least 200 miles. So, when I called back to schedule two days later, they informed me that there was a recall on my vehicle and that I should have that fixed as well taking yet again more of my time away when they could have done the work while it was there. THREE WEEKS LATER, my car was starting to do the exact same thing that It was doing before the repairs were made. When I checked the oil there was ZERO oil in my vehicle after driving around 1500 miles in that three-week period. I took my vehicle back to see why this issue was still occurring and noticed on the prior service report they did not even have the proper mileage noted on the first date of service. The service document said the vehicle had 123000 miles and I had purchased the vehicle at 141000 miles, clearly stated on the title. They diagnosed the issue and then determined that there was a timing chain rattle so they “tightened the chains” mind you this car has timing chain tensioners so that should not have even been an issue unless of course they charged me for work that was not actually done. While that work was taking place they left my car UNLOCKED in the parking lot at their facilities. I had 3 oil consumption tests done at every 1000 miles and the vehicle is using about 2-2.5 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. They submitted the claim to general Motors and GM said they would only cover 10%. TEN PERCENT. The total for the repairs to the pistons and piston rings would cost over 4000 according to the quote. After the last oil consumption test not even a day later I noticed the overwhelming smell of gasoline in the interior of my vehicle while driving it home. I check the oil cap and dip stick to notice the oil was yet again smelling like gasoline, the first issue that was said to be repaired. They gave me a list of issues saying that is was not the work they just did but a whole slue of other issues that somehow did not come up when they first diagnosed the vehicle or the second time they worked on the vehicle or the third when they completed recall work. They also noted that the vehicle had no oil in it a day after the 3rd oil consumption test. The new “list of things wrong” include exhaust camshaft actuator solenoid, exhaust manifold gasket replacement, exhaust manifold replacement, catalytic converter and gaskets, oxygen sensor 1 up stream, intake manifold gasket replacement and a pcv system clean. Yet they have no explanation of why my OIL SMELLS LIKE FUEL like it did before they “Repaired” my car. Dave the service manager said he would tow my car out of his “GOOD WILL”. If you are looking for “Good will” he is your man. If you are looking for integrity, ethical and exceptional practices Jim Butler is NOT the place to go. This isn’t even HALF of the issues I have had with them, just a taste. More
