Thank you for your feedback. We are glad we were able to get your vehicle repair the same day. Typically with repairs that are more involved that regular maintenance, we require a Journeyman Technician to look at the vehicle, diagnose the problem, and perform the repairs. When getting repairs done we recommend dropping the vehicle off. Typically there is a delay in a Journeyman technician being available. This is especially true with recent staffing cut backs as a result of the current pandemic and regulations in place to keep our staff and customers as safe as possible. We have to diagnose your vehicle to know what parts need to be replaced, which is why we couldn't know if we had the part in stock. We hope this additional information helps and that your future visits will be more pleasant.

Thank you for your feedback, Michael. We understand your frustration during your recent visit with us. We want to explain the charges a bit more in an effort to help this situation. While we understand that many customers take their vehicles to other shops prior to bringing their vehicle to us, we still have to do diagnostics here at the dealership because we need to make sure the diagnostic at another shop that we don't know was, in fact, correct. We're glad they were correct in this instance. That is not always the case. Had you gotten the repairs completed at our dealership, the diagnostic charge ($155) would have been put towards the cost of repairs. While it is your prerogative to get the repairs done somewhere else that might be cheaper since they do not used GM certified and warrantied parts, we did take the time for one of our Journeyman Technicians to diagnose your vehicle and we have to charge for that. Thank you for your feedback, Lawrence. We're sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience with us at the dealership. We looked in to the details of your last visit and we are happy to clarify the charges. We did check the transmission and the brakes of your vehicle, and did not find anything wrong with it. The $155 diagnostic charge would have been put towards repairs and possibly covered under warranty if there was something wrong. The additional cost was for the oil change and tire rotation that you had performed. We understand that it is never fun when vehicles don't act up at the dealership for us, but we did take the time to have a Journeyman Technician look at your vehicle to try to find something wrong and we have to charge for that service. We looked in to the services that were performed and we noticed that there was a lot of diagnostic time that we spent making sure that we had the correct cause of the service Trailer Brake Light. This was likely the main cause of the delay, in addition to being short staffed by the recent reduced staffing requirements in light of the pandemic.
