Thank you for your feedback, Jess. We understand that it is never fun to have to get work done on your vehicle, however a vehicle coming out of alignment is not indicative of there being any mechanical problems wrong with your vehicle other than normal wear and tear, even after only 7,000 miles. It is recommended to get an alignment twice a year as regular maintenance. The quick alignment check machines that we have installed are certainly an investment that the dealership has made, but it is not a money grab. It is to ensure the safety of our customers and their vehicles. Prior to having these machines, it is likely that improper alignment was not caught for previous customers that did not complain of an alignment problem. Having improper alignment on your vehicle can cause a multitude of problems, but especially would cause faster wear on tires. If you would like us to confirm the quick alignment check findings by putting your truck on the separate calibrated wheel alignment machine, we are happy to do so at no charge to you. On any vehicle, it is easier than you would think to throw tires out of alignment (potholes, curbs, construction bumps, speed bumps, railroad tracks, etc). We are also happy to take a closer look at your vehicle and confirm for you that there is nothing else actually wrong with your vehicle that caused it lost alignment at 7,000 miles.
