Thank you for sharing your opinion, Mr. McKenzie, but we're pretty confused by some of your statements/accusations. We're glad all of our staff was friendly towards you. When setting your appointment, as you mentioned, you are setting a time to meet with a service advisor. We strive to get vehicles in to our technicians/journeymen as quickly as possible, but your appointment is not for start of service, as should have been explained at the time you set your appointment. If it was not, we do apologize. Your vehicle was not seen right away because big issues, such as a Check Engine Light (CEL), require a highly trained Journeyman to work on the vehicle and address the cause of what was going wrong. With the high volume we experience, Journeymen are not always immediately available. While it may appear to some people that our staff are "not doing much," we can assure you that is not the case. Our service advisors are responsible for working with technicians/journeymen to access the problems with vehicles, follow up with customers, prepare and execute paperwork, and assist customers when they pick up their vehicle. Our personnel are working very hard. We do have a lot of cubicles in the showroom to accommodate the 30+ salesmen that work with our 400+ customers/mo (on average). We sell our vehicles very quickly with such high volume and having more than a few vehicles on the showroom floor when they would quickly be sold to customers is both a waste of space and waste of resources. Making these economical business decisions has helped us grow to be the #1 Chevrolet Dealership in the Midwest for the past several years and Dealer of the Year for the last 3 years in a row. We are baffled by the accusation that we are running a "rental car scam." This service is available upon request, but, as an alternative, we do provide every customer with a free car wash coupon upon check out.
