I went in to buy a use car. I wanted my usual sales guy because he was great. He was on vacation for a couple of weeks still. Since it was used, I tried to work with Shane. He acted confused about everything and didn’t want to seem to work with me. That should have been my first clue. It was cold and snowy and the car wouldn’t start so they had to jump it. I was told it should be fine. It didn’t start again and I did get a new battery or I would have walked there. 2nd clue!! They couldn’t find a second key to give me and said I’d have to pay about $300 or $400 to buy a new one. Shane said we have a guy that makes keys. I just bought a car. Couldn’t have a key made for me??? I am buying a car and on top of that I had to ask for their card for the key guy. At this point, he offers the lifetime power train warranty. So, I feel a little better because I usually never buy a used car. I just couldn’t buy a new one this time and I felt screwed. I don’t know how many red signs I am up to now. Now, I’ve had the car two weeks. The check engine light comes on. I call. I get the run around. I can’t get you in for two weeks. We have to do a diagnostic to see if it is covered to be fixed. We have to do a diagnostic to see if it was something like a mouse ate through the wires and if it is a fault of yours (meaning me) it would not be covered. We got disconnected and I called back. The new guy said bring it in today. So, I had to take off work. I bring the car in and Keegan tells me it will be about an hour. I go talk with Shane and let him know that I am upset about the situation. He shrugs at me and says “They told me you were coming in”. No follow up sales here. I got the “my part was selling the car”. He did say he would go back and talk with them so I waited at his desk. He came back and said they will be right with you so I needed to wait in the waiting room. He didn’t do anything because it was still an hour. I had to pay $199 for the diagnostic to get my car back. I spoke with Josh who had an office and I was told he was the manager. He told me it wasn’t covered under the powertrain warranty and I had to pay for it. He said he would call me back in about an hour because he had to call about the part. I did not hear from him in about an hour and a half, so I called him. He said he didn’t have a chance to call me back because he was busy. He said he wanted to make this right so he paid for the part and labor. Josh said it wasn’t a covered part. I still had to pay $199 for the diagnostic but he said under the powertrain warranty I would have to pay a $250 deductible. Josh did try to make it right by covering the part even though he said it wasn’t not covered but it is real disappointing that I had to go through all that headache buying a car. More
