Service department continues to disappoint. From the added fees, unnecessary suggested maintenance items (they recommended a cabin air filter-I changed it 2 weeks prior), they don’t care. You have to leave a vehicle for 2-3 for the “privilege” of them looking at it. Their $1,700 repair estimate was done for $350 elsewhere. I’ll be taking my future car purchases and service elsewhere. No greeting EVER. Help at desk had us standing for 10-15 minutes before a man asked for my name. Buick had chosen date and time to arrive. Told I would be called in 24-48 hours after scope check. NEVER had a call even after 72 hours. I called and left message to have car out front for pick up. I am very disappointed in Jim Ellis Buick. I am currently pleased with the work they was done. The communication from Chris my service advisor left a lot to be desired. Every piece of the process took longer than he said it would. When I spoke with him, I always felt like I was just a number which is the exact opposite of what the hold message says they want you to feel like. When I kept asking about the delays, the information I got from Chris was minimal and he seemed annoyed I asked. I finally had to speak with the manager in the Parts department who gave me a very detailed explanation as to what was going on with the parts. He even told me one has been on back ordered but that it had finally be resolved. He looked up the tracking and told me exactly when they would receive them. I was frustrated that I could not get any of this information from Chris. I'll return to Jim Ellis but will ask for a different service advisor next time. I'll hope to be treated less as a number and be given the information that I am looking for. More
