Worst service experience ever! I received a letter from Ford about issues with my 2015 Ford focus and others like it having issues with the transmission mobility controller. I had I received a letter from Ford about issues with my 2015 Ford focus and others like it having issues with the transmission mobility controller. I had already had this fixed once under warranty, but got a letter that they would be extending the warranty due to the known issues. My car had been doing the same thing it did when I initially had to have it fixed in Charleston, South Carolina I went in and made an appointment with Brad to have my car serviced. After having my car for four days in which I ubered back and forth to work, they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and the shuddering that I was experiencing when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear as well as the random jumps in RPMS were “within the parameters deemed acceptable by Ford,“ I paid $255 in diagnostic fees because I did not want them to do the $6,056 worth of additional work they quoted me outside of what I brought it in for. Not even a full week later, my car broke down, and I had it towed to a third-party mechanic under my extended warranty through CarMax. Turns out the issue that caused the breakdown was what I brought it in for. I called and left a voicemail asking someone to call me back because I wanted my money back since this is something they should have fixed, but Brad was no longer in his position, so I left a voicemail with the person who took over for him. This was over a month ago and I still have not received a call back. More

I visited a couple of dealers and salesmen before coming to Jim Ellis and meeting Louis Thompson. At a previous Ford dealer I felt like they were being untruthful and trying to slip things past me and I cau to Jim Ellis and meeting Louis Thompson. At a previous Ford dealer I felt like they were being untruthful and trying to slip things past me and I caught their misdealing with them apologizing later and trying to regain my business. I told them I expect honestly and straight forward dealings and will not tolerate untruthfulness. When I got to Jim Ellis I had not actually planned on purchasing that day but rather looking and gathering info on the cars I wanted to soon purchase. Louis showed me exactly what I wanted and immediately I felt comfortable with Louis. Through the transaction I felt he was honest, did not push and actually listened instead of telling me what I want. He showed me options and I chose what I thought was best for me. When trading in my car they gave me a very fair deal. It did not stop there and the buying process was smooth. Did not deal directly with sales manager Shaun Barr but did converse with him and again it seemed like a cohesive group of salesman that worked well to get the deal I wanted to go through. When going through the financing process, usually an uncomfortable situation of wading through pressure to buy this or that and add into the finance, it was quite the opposite. Andre Thomas presented options, did not pressure, and answered my questions I wanted to know on prices and how they compared to normal maintenance visits. I feel I got what I asked for, not what they wanted me to buy. After spending a lot of hard earned money on a F-150, I feel I got everything I wanted in the deal and comfortable with the value they presented as an entire staff. I drove further than most at about 40 miles and drove past 7 Ford dealers that were closer. When the earlier untruthful dealers lost this sale they also lost future sales because I am more than likely going to buy my youngest son a truck within a couple of years and my first visit will be Jim Ellis Ford. While I thank them for getting me in my new truck, I really want to thank them for their honesty throughout the process. More
