Billy Jung & Bruce Vernon (10/10) Having done my homework via Genesisowners.com for potential problems on the 2015 Hyundai Genesis (I am obsessive with my cars), I realized that my rec Having done my homework via Genesisowners.com for potential problems on the 2015 Hyundai Genesis (I am obsessive with my cars), I realized that my recently purchased 3.8 model was having some fluttering issues at 25-27mph. It was very hard to diagnose as the car is extremely well insulated and the fluttering only occurs in cold startups (rare in Atlanta) and under light accel/deceleration. I came to the conclusion that the driveshaft was imbalanced and/or wearing abnormally fast. I saved a few service transcripts from other owners via forums, recorded a short video, and sent it over to Billy Jung (my salesman) as well as the service department. Billy apologized profusely for selling me a "dud." Not the case (I love this car)! The car is immaculate (it was a CPO model). What kind of salesman apologizes for selling a car?! One with integrity that is for xxxx sure. Let's just say the whole thing was diagnosed, approved, replaced, in about 2-3 days. It was done so quick I couldn't believe I was visiting a Hyundai dealership... they are the best, bar none. Who needs Lexus when you have people like Billy/Bruce treating you the way they do? Billy went so far as to walk me out to the loaner car (while clearly busy). They do things right. If only other Hyundai dealerships learned from them the stigma of "Hyundai service is garbage" wouldn't be a thing in 2018. I don't really leave many reviews (I signed up just to leave a positive review post-purchase) and I'm here again leaving my service review. To potential buyers, Jim Ellis is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned in the Atlanta area. Makes me want to buy another Hyundai from them... but we already have enough cars! I guess I need to work harder... :D The company I work for recently purchased multiple Toyota Corollas as work vehicles for managers. Unfortunate as we could have taken our business to Jim Ellis... but this was before I experienced what I did while buying the Genesis. Next time... Jim Ellis all the way. The people who work there and the service I get keep me coming back. They are consistently superb in terms of making you feel welcome, valued, and important. They are customer care driven and they deliver top service each time. Consistant, courteous, knowledgeable, attentive to what you say and need, patient, they are hustle free and straightforward. Your time is valued and before you know it you will purchase an excellent product and you will keep coming back, as I did and do, over many many years. Who to see in sales? Definitely, Mr. Aaron Jackson! He delivers top customer service, and is so so patient! He knows his inventory, and he knows the cars very well. Very courteous, precise, detailed, an excellent listener, and one who values your time. He follows through and wants to make sure you are totally satisfied. For financing Mr. Patel or Mr. HauB are both great! They understand numbers and customers’ specific needs. Very efficient! When you service your car there you can be fired to see a young woman come by and welcome warmly all customers waiting on their cars! Service people are also very very effective and time conscious. It is clear to me that the management of the Jim Ellis Hyundai dealership trains excellently their people, and there is an overall culture of total satisfaction for the customer. One manager in particular. Mr. Moore was very responsive to my needs and returned promptly my phone calls three times :). Billy Jung (10/10) After test driving nearly (10) 2015 Genesis Sedans (used of course), I was left disappointed. As with most off-lease vehicles, I was aware and lookin After test driving nearly (10) 2015 Genesis Sedans (used of course), I was left disappointed. As with most off-lease vehicles, I was aware and looking for signs of neglect, failed or improper maintenance, and potential mechanical issues. Having jumped from dealership to dealership, some Hyundai, some private, and being disappointed in the overall condition of these "low mileage" off-lease Genesis Sedan (2nd Generation), I found a plethora of 2015 units at Jim Ellis. When I say plethora, I really mean, rows upon rows. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to cars, so I spent a decent amount of time researching every unit the dealership had in stock. The tires were all swapped out for MXM4's (one of the top grand touring tires for this particular vehicle), and maintenance history seemed to be spot on. While some carfax reports show large gaps between service, most, if not all of the vehicles in stock at Jim Ellis were properly serviced. They do their homework when purchasing and bringing in off-lease vehicles from other states/dealers. My particular unit (2015 Genesis Sedan 3.8 AWD Ultimate) was brought in from Nevada, one owner (an obvious requirement), with all maintenance history performed at the local Nevada Hyundai dealership. After a quick test drive and visual inspection, I decided it was the one. The car was in immaculate condition (24,000 miles on the odo). The vehicle I decided on had an Ivory interior (basically white) and it could have passed for a brand new vehicle. My co-workers were pretty shocked when they realized it was a CPO model. To cut things short, Billy Jung (my salesman) was nothing short of extraordinary, and was probably the first person to offer me a vehicle purchasing experience that didn't feel like a straight up con. I was confident in his judgement from the get go. He seemed almost too polite and humble to be working as a "salesman" but we all know there are good people out there. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Billy Jung... really. If you have a problem with him... there may be something wrong with YOU. People bash on Hyundai's level of service, as opposed to the Lexus experience, but while Hyundai does not offer the "Lexus" dealership experience with fine waiting rooms etc., this dealership does NOT skimp out on the customer service. This is also where you find most of the savings over the GS350 (in this case, as I had purchase a Genesis Sedan). Every single person, from Mylesha (the lady who took my reservations), to Billy Jung (my favorite salesman to date), to the business/finance manager (Sam Patel), all provided us with a purchasing experience bar none. To be honest I knew going into Jim Ellis that their reputation was great (just check their Google reviews), but by the time I was signing, I realized it was well justified. Let me say this again... there are multiple Hyundai dealerships in the Georgia (Atlanta) area. Save yourself some time and peace of mind and visit Jim Ellis first. I had initially tried to reach out to Rick Case (they are local to me) but was dissatisfied with their level of service even prior to even looking at a unit. Rick Case also has a much smaller inventory (by quite a large margin) so I would have a hard time recommending them over Jim Ellis, regardless of price. The fact that Jim Ellis met my... quite OCD/ridiculous standards for anything used (almost unrealistic, they are used cars after all) says dividends. I truly appreciate and am still baffled at how the purchasing experience went. I drove home that day (accompanied by my father who the car is partially for) in silence. It almost seemed too good to be true, but they made it happen. It's been over a week since the purchase, and the car still runs "like new." :) I just want to say thank you again Billy Jung and Sam Patel for your service. God bless!!! More
