My sister had a really bad experience with Jim Ellis Volk I walked into Jim Ellis yesterday fully expecting to see a couple of cars and then walk out. My sister had a really bad experience with Jim Ellis Volkswagen 20 years ago and it just goes to show how a sour experience with one salesman or one dealership can put off customers off other cars of that dealer or the company itself. But as soon as I walked in and started to talk to Julio Cruz, it was just a comfortable talk. He asked me what I was looking for. I told him that while I had originally asked to look for a Genesis with the Ultimate Package, the only one I could buy was one with the Tech Package since that was the only one that could be upgraded to Android Auto. Julio went through all the cars they had, and only one, a new arrival fit the bill. But it had not yet been checked to be be certified pre owned. We went and saw the car, but I couldn't drive it. Based on a guarantee that I could walk away if I was dissatisfied with the car, we talked numbers. The car had high mileage, so I decided to purchase the extended 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. We were off by $3000 from the figure I was comfortable with and we worked out a good figure for the car. I signed the paperwork with Hau B. Previous experiences with dealers used to be a tedious affair at this stage with dealers pushing needless add ons and me rejecting them. It was an absolute pleasure to work very quickly with Hau B. At no point, was I pressured, harangued or delayed. Twenty five years ago, I bought a Nissan Maxima with a similarly great salesman. It's nice to see that you can have a pleasant experience in a dealership. And this must be something the management must be cultivating since the couple sitting next to us with another salesman also bought a car. Drove down today, test drove the car and couldn't be happier. Will happily refer my friends to Jim Ellis Hyundai and Julio. More
