I came to Kia because I really had my eyes set on a used Optima. I came to the dealership and had a good salesperson and a good test drive, but when we sat down that's when the problems started. I did want Optima. I came to the dealership and had a good salesperson and a good test drive, but when we sat down that's when the problems started. I did want to see if they could get me approved at a lower rate than what I was already approved through someone else but I wanted to know the price of the car first. The salesperson, sorry I forgot their name, didn't know the price of the car until after he had already ran my credit. It would have been nice to have the price before I did the credit application (lesson learned, first time buyer). I got approved and was told the car was $19,995 for a 2012 LX with 40 yes 40,000 miles on it. He looked at me like I was crazy when I told him there was no way that was what it was worth. This car had a huge crack in the bumper, several scratches and dents on the body, and under the front bumper someone had run up on the cement so the material on the bottom side of the bumper was crumbling and scratched off. Then the salesperson pulled up NADA and said it was worth that much. I pulled the same report on my phone for the car with the exact same features,not excellent condition because it was clearly not, and it came up almost $3000 less. Then they pulled out the whole "bring out the manager bit," can't stand that. He kept adding another year of free maintenance, pressuring me to buy. Thank goodness I had my friend who is more knowledgeable than me come look at the car and tell me it was a bad deal. I went over to Cobb County Toyota and worked with Grant and Rob and they got me into a BRAND NEW Toyota for less than the crappy Optima at Kia. Not recommending that Kia to anyone. More
