Overall, a decent shop. The intake is quick and employees are friendly. The only snags sometimes come at completion when it’s time to check out. Service department at Jim Ellis Kia in Kennesaw tried to bill over $3,300 for a repair that should have been covered by warranty. Our Optima Hybrid is part of a warranty campaign for a hybrid fuse. When t bill over $3,300 for a repair that should have been covered by warranty. Our Optima Hybrid is part of a warranty campaign for a hybrid fuse. When the fuse goes bad the car stops running. The car stopped running and was towed to Jim Ellis Kia. After several days of calling for an update we had to go to the dealership and talk to the advisor. We were told they were short staffed and hiring, that's why nobody answers the phone. The advisor gave a repair estimate for 3,300 that included a new 12v battery to replace our 1 year old battery and 1,500 to replace a hybrid power relay, among other items like spark plugs. Not trusting the dealer I purchased the hybrid fuse at another dealer and replaced it in their parking lot. That fuse cost me $60 and fixed all the problems. The technician never took the time to check the fuse. How can you test a hybrid power relay if the fuse is bad? Never take a car to this dealer, do not trust the service department. If I was not skeptical and slightly mechanically capable I would have had no choice but to pay thousands of dollars that were not needed. Shame on the technician, shame on the service department and shame on the dealer. More
Terrible service. Lost my keys, they took me to every key box in the both shops and the store to find them. They ended up being in someones pocket the whole time. My tow guy was there for over an hour and decided he couldn’t wait anymore and left, I was then there for another hour. I had to leave and come back. Because my tow guy left and I had to do all this running around I ended up with acid on my face. Had the keys been where they were supposed to be acid wouldn’t have been all over my face. Philip was the guy I was originally working with, and he was no where to be found. Not returning calls/text messages. I mean absolutely useless. Terrible experience and service. More

One time I went here to get my oil changed and when I got the car back there was a deep scratch in the body. They said they didn't do but it never showed up in any of the pictures that had taken prior and I the car back there was a deep scratch in the body.
