Recall work I chose Jim Ellis Kia because of a prior bad experience at another Kia dealership. I did not realize until I initiated making a service appointment t I chose Jim Ellis Kia because of a prior bad experience at another Kia dealership. I did not realize until I initiated making a service appointment that Cobb County Kia was now Jim Ellis Kia. I hoped because of the well known name that I would receive excellent service. I was bringing my son's Kia Soul in for recall work that needed to be done. After sitting for over two hours, when the service representative returned from lunch she was horrified that I was still there. Apparently, because I am not a "regular" (returning) customer, my name was dropped from the queue and the vehicle was set aside and others were taken ahead of me. This was even though I had a service appointment. Once the service representative realized what had happened, the car was ready in about an hour. There were attempts to apologize and even an offer to buy me lunch, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. The service rep was very polite and helpful and went out of her way to help me once she realized there was a problem. It seems this is something that happens somewhat frequently to "new" service customers... So, if you know there has been an issue with names dropping from the queue, why haven't you fixed the problem ?? I really expected better service than this from a well known name in car dealerships. More

Lazy staff, had to ask for basic paperwork I made an appointment for 11am on a Saturday for the 75,000 mile inspection on my car. At 1:30pm my car was ready, and we headed back to the dealershi I made an appointment for 11am on a Saturday for the 75,000 mile inspection on my car. At 1:30pm my car was ready, and we headed back to the dealership. The technician paperwork was not filled out, and these records are very important to me and the resale value of my car. I had to ask that the red/yellow/green paperwork be filled out on my inspection and this took an additional 15 minutes. The paperwork was returned with everyone showing green, which is suspicious that not one item on the inspection showed a medium yellow status. After arriving home, I realized that during my oil change, the mileage sticker had not been updated on my windshield, and my washer fluid was still low even though I had been charged for more washer fluid. I know these items are trivial, but they are also basic care. I spent $250 at the dealership, which is a lot of money to me. I expect to be taken care of better than this, and I have had better experiences with Cobb County Kia then Jim Ellis Kia. I will be taking my car elsewhere after this, as this service did not meet my expectations. More
