Since moving back to the Columbia area a year and a half ago, we've had both of our pickups serviced by Ford at the Jim Hudson Lexington location. We had no intentions on trading at this particular date & ago, we've had both of our pickups serviced by Ford at the Jim Hudson Lexington location. We had no intentions on trading at this particular date & time, but upon meeting and visiting with Jake while waiting for an oil change, we test drove the new Ford Explorer. Jake recommended the Explorer after our visit where we stated that IF we were to consider a trade, the new vehicle would have to be equal (or better) in the quality of the "RIDE" in comparison to our 2010 F-150. Jake was correct with his evaluation/recommendation of the new Explorer. The ride is as described/desired; the two extra seats are an added benefit; the cargo space is more than adequate for our needs; the towing capability will be fantastic; and what really sold us on trading are all the up-graded SAFETY features on the newer vehicle. I have been very disappointed with the customer service at Jim Hudson Ford. I dealt with Wayne Cooper as a salesman, and he was short when we first talked. I then dealt with the used car manager, Jesse a at Jim Hudson Ford. I dealt with Wayne Cooper as a salesman, and he was short when we first talked. I then dealt with the used car manager, Jesse and the new car manager, Randy. Both of the managers did not call me back when they said they would. I found Randy to be extremely hard to get a hold of on the phone, and when I showed up person to talk to him, he had no clue who I was, or what he was trying to find for me. I told him in person that I was appalled by the customer service, and it still has not improved. I even left a message for the general manager, Joe, and still have not heard back from him. Not only was the communication extremely lacking, but during the week I gave them to work on finding me a car, they managed to run my credit 14 times!!! More

David was super friendly and spoke with my husband and I as if we were just good friends making a deal together. He either answered or went and got someone who could answer question(s) for me. I made numerous visits before I bought the truck and each time he greeted me with professionlism one would appreciate. He worked with me well to get the truck price to where I needed and the deal was made. I even called him after the purchase to ask question about car my son was looking at, ( not at JIm Hudson) and he gave me the same great customer service. I feel I left there as a friend not a customer. More
I worked with David Silvey to get into a low mileage used van or SUV. David went over a above the usual standard and found me a great low mileage van, great color (for a guy), all the bells and whistles and van or SUV. He also had to work with me long distance from Irmo as my time is very limited. He brought the van over to my work at lunch, let me test drive it. I took my wife over to the dealership one evening to look at it (and a couple of other vehicles while we were there) and I pretty much decided on the van. I then worked with the finance guy over the phone... the next day David delivered the van to me. Fantastic experience. If you would like a low pressure, good deal on some nice vehicles... call David. He is TOP NOTCH! More
