After searching for weeks to purchase my husband a truck I had become exasperated. Not just by the disrespect I got as a woman buying "a man's vehicle", but by the whole buying experience. I had known for w I had become exasperated. Not just by the disrespect I got as a woman buying "a man's vehicle", but by the whole buying experience. I had known for weeks what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend and had already arranged my financing with my credit union. I spent several weeks being hounded by pushy sales people, pushed to look at vehicles I was not interested in, as well urged to spend more than I wanted. Finally I convinced my husband (all the major purchases are primarily my responsibility-and my husband is just too busy)to come along for the day on the quest. I came across the internet listing for a truck similar to what I was looking for at Joe Bullard. Although the asking price was just a bit much more than I wanted to spend, but thought it wouldn't hurt to at least look. Within a comfortable amount of time of my husband and I approaching the truck we were interested in, Mr. Borden came to greet us. He was friendly and nice without being a desperate vulture that I had become accustomed to dealing with over the past few weeks. He was generous in answering questions and letting us not only take a test drive but my husband and I took it around town to lunch. This gave us an opportunity to discuss the vehicle and our options without the pressure of hovering sales people. We ultimately decided we did in fact want the truck but it was about 20% higher than our initial budget. We returned and informed Mr. Borden of this and gave him a number we were comfortable with even though it was a bit more than our budget. Within a short wait we were given the ok on the price. We agreed to the deal and were only delayed by other customers who were there before us in the financial office. Given that fact and the fact that we had to pick our boys up from school we were crunched for time. But the Joe Bullard people did get us in and out as quickly as they could in time to get my boys from school. All in all it was just short time as compared to in my past experiences I have spent all day into the evening going through that process before. I will absolutely be buying my next vehicle from Joe Bullard Cadillac without a doubt. More
