Not good service Made advance appointment. Received return call late next afternoon; no “spark plugs” in shop to finish my tune up. Picked up car and returned it next Made advance appointment. Later received call from Service Representative asking if I had my car because shop could not find it. later received call that car was finished. Very nice cashier started to bill me for all services. I explained my ($2995.00) Service Contract (I was told it was “bumper to bumper” coverage, including tune ups when I purchased it from Machen’s Ford in Columbia) should pay first. The Service Department adjusted the bill, but still wanted me to pay $125.00. I called Machen’s in Columbia and received the same coverage assurance. I gave the cashier my copy of the service plan, but all were uncertain about the coverage. An older Service Representative arrived and tried to convince me I owed $125.00. However, she still could not show me why. She looked at my copy of my Service Agreement, and tried to call the agreement company. At times she spoke to me as though I did not know anything because she was more knowledgeable (in a condescending manner). I finally said I would just pay the $125.00 and contact Machen’s Ford in Columbia. She then told me not to pay and she would research the matter and let me know if I need to pay. I have heard nothing more and still do not know if I owe $125.00. Now, I’m not sure if I would ever buy and future additional services or coverage plans from Ford, or even buy another vehicle from Machen’s Ford. The rear door gasket has come loose, but I’m not sure I will take it in to Machen’s fo repair( vehicle has fewer than 42K miles), due to my recent experience. More

I then went to leave and the one guy said they would give me someone else’s part which isn’t fair to that person who had an appointment as they will go through what I did. More

Horrible experience and costly Slowest technician I’ve ever seen. The tech made a mistake replacing the brake fluid with the incorrect fluid, then drained the fluid from two of four Slowest technician I’ve ever seen. The tech made a mistake replacing the brake fluid with the incorrect fluid, then drained the fluid from two of four wheels and added the correct fluid leaving two wheels still with the wrong stuff. Anyone can make a mistake but fix it right! The service writer had an attitude about the whole ordeal. No apology either. Never again. James made an honest mistake. I understand. But Doug was not understanding in any way.Not a good way to do business. More
