Creative solution I slammed my door on my seat belt buckle and damaged the electronic control of a few things: the interior lights and open-door warning signal wouldn't I slammed my door on my seat belt buckle and damaged the electronic control of a few things: the interior lights and open-door warning signal wouldn't turn off, and the doors wouldn't latch unless I was in park (I habitually lock my doors when I stop at intersections). Despite a very busy Friday morning at Machens Toyota, they worked me in. I figured I was in for a pricey parts replacement or even a door replacement. However, a pro in the shop figured a way to move a metal piece to reconnect with the electronic switch I had damaged. I paid for labor only and was out in under two hours, good as new. Dom was my Service Representative -- Thank you, Dom! -- but I do not know the name of the problem-solver who saved me. Please convey my Thanks for his professionalism and ingenuity. More
