We currently have been unable to verify customers concerns. The issue has never been duplicated as we drove the vehicle. We have tried to explain that if it stuck in gear it would set a gear ratio code or some kind of transmission concern. That has never happened either. We explained to the customer that if we cannot duplicate the concern or have a check engine light code to follow it makes it impossible to repair the concern. I have asked the customer to drive it in if the issue occurs and received a response that its too far. I made mention that it may have to get worse or happen more often to be able to diagnose with duplicating or setting codes. This was a true statement not to be taken in the manner it was . I made a suggestion that perhaps an elbow tapped the shifter into slapstick (manual shift mode) not as an insult but once again just trying to explain what the customer says happened. Our goal is not to anger customers or drive them away. We do care and would love to repair this issue. However once again if I cant verify or duplicate the concern, and there is no ck engine light on to follow the code process, then we have no way to diagnose a concern that is not happening at this time.
