I really cannot express how great these guys were when I went to purchase my new used car! It was very unexpected when my old car's engine died on me. I was not planning on having to get another car for a f went to purchase my new used car! It was very unexpected when my old car's engine died on me. I was not planning on having to get another car for a few years, I had just finished paying off the other one 3 months earlier! Needless to say, not being financially prepared to buy a "new" car was a problem and a bigger problem was the fact that I have 2 jobs. I NEEDED a car. There was no way I could go a few weeks or longer to get a "new" car. I went to John Smith just because it was close to my house. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted (or what I could afford) and left with a new used car! I ran into a lot of roadblocks at other dealerships (I never realized financing an older car would be an issue, I bartend so proof of income was a potential problem, and just financing alone was a problem because I have student loans, credit cards, etc.). I can not express enough how stressed out and frustrated I was going into John Smith's for a car. I had these roadblocks to deal with and I in general don't like dealing with car situations because I have been ripped off too much in the past for my lack of knowledge about cars. Yet, I left John Smith's that day SO happy! Jim Shiftlet helped me through the whole process and he was great! He never made me feel "stupid" for not knowing about cars or the different finance options out there. He also was very understanding when it came to the roadblocks I was dealing with in getting a "new" car. He was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly the entire time! My boyfriend was with me and he also said the service there was amazing! I never thought getting a "new" car (especially in the situation I was in) could end up being such a great and not stressful time. I would absolutely recommend John Smith's Used Cars to anyone and everyone looking for a new used car! Even if it's a bit of a hike for you to get there...it is 100% worth it! I really can't express enough how great these guys were and how much they helped me out and completely turned a bad and stressful situation into a remarkable experience!
