Courteous, informative, responsive salesman I had just left a nearby Ford dealership where I had an unpleasant experience looking at F-150s. I felt the salesman was somewhat arrogant and was trashing the competition in comparison. Totally unnecessary! And a big turn-off, especially since they all have a lot in common. When I got to John Megel Chevrolet, I met a salesman (Brian Davenport) who was honest about the competition but more importantly, wanted me to get a vehicle that I truly would enjoy, even if it was not a Chevy. He garnered my trust early on in the visit. Not an easy thing when you are trying to sell a vehicle on a commission basis. Wow, what a difference that makes to be appreciated for what you are truly looking for and I am convinced that if they didn't have what I was looking for, he would have told me so. I was dead set on getting a used truck, because of the huge drop in depreciation if I drove a new truck off the lot. Brian showed me a number of used trucks but when he explained the discounts on the new vehicles and the warranties I could get, especially with a demo, I was willing to look at a 2016 truck. Within 20 minutes of the comparison, with no pressure, I came to my own conclusion that Brian was right. The better value was in a new but demo vehicle. Brian was not just trying to sell me a vehicle but was trying to meet my needs. I would recommend Brian Davenport be "cloned" to sell all the vehicles at Megal. Great experience!
