I've been a regular at John Thornton Chevrolet ever since I first got my Sonic back in 2015. Everytime I've needed something fixed or inspected, I'd come here. Everytime I needed a simple tire rotation or an I first got my Sonic back in 2015. Everytime I've needed something fixed or inspected, I'd come here. Everytime I needed a simple tire rotation or an oil change I'd come here. Unfortunately, things changed for the worst. Two months ago, I wanted to come here to get my headlight assembly replaced. It melted due to the headlight being inserted incorrectly, and the headlight no longer emits a good amount of light. I called the dealership to see if I could bring it in for repairs, but after being put on hold for ten minutes, the call dropped. I had made another attempt to reach out, but was again put on hold and the call dropped. A couple of months later, my engine light came on and I called in again to see if they could inspect it and get it fixed. When I rolled up and dropped the car off, I was told that the engine light turned off and that they did a standard service to it - no biggie, problem solved. When I was about to retrieve my vehicle, one of the mechanics told me that the engine light turned back on while they were rolling back up, and that I should schedule an appointment bring it back. At this point, I'm frustrated because that was the whole reason why I came here in the first place, so I just decided to go over to Precision Auto Tune to get it fixed. They took an hour to diagnose the issue (which was $20 cheaper than your diagnostic fee), and another to fix the issue itself. No appointment needed. I used to love coming here. You guys have had great service and the staff was/is pretty consistent in their customer service, mostly. But because I haven't been able to get my last two major issues fixed even after I ask for help, I can't see myself coming back. I respect your mechanics a lot - they do the work that a lot of us aren't qualified or knowledgeable enough to do, but unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere. More
I gave a 4 Star based on the discounts offered when the truck was purchased, everything else seemed a little forced. My truck was basically chosen by the Sales Rep and when asked to see other options , I’m truck was purchased, everything else seemed a little forced. Apart from that her Sales Manager almost ran us away with his high down payment request. I’m still a little up in the air with a lot of things based on monthly payments and how much I suggest I was able to pay. I felt a little taken advantage of, but I know what was meant for my downfall will definitely turn out to be for my good. The preparation of my truck weren’t so outstanding either. Based on the fact that I’d just purchased another brand new vehicle prior I know they could have done way better. I also went back recently to get truck accessories and that didn’t go so well. The guy who “assisted” were NOT helpful. I ended up leaving to another dealership in Marietta and they were outstanding. More
