Beware of their online parts sales toyotaparts4less.com I don't like being cheated. Even a little. I unfortunately tried to make a purchase from toyotaparts4less.com, which is their online parts web sit I don't like being cheated. Even a little. I unfortunately tried to make a purchase from toyotaparts4less.com, which is their online parts web site. After they sent me the wrong part, I contacted them. They admitted it was the wrong part, so I (at my expense) sent it back. Now they are claiming I ordered the wrong part number (their web site doesn't even show part numbers) so they will not refund the $8.28 I spent fixing their error. If this is how they do business, I'd suggest you stay as far away as possible. I'll change/remove this post if they come round and admit their mistake. BTW, I've never written a complaint like this for anything before, ever. More
I was driving my 2009 Toyota Scion tC in a 35 mph zone last week when I heard a loud BOOM and noticed glass falling down my rear window. I pulled over to investigate and the back stationary piece of glas last week when I heard a loud BOOM and noticed glass falling down my rear window. I pulled over to investigate and the back stationary piece of glass in my roof had shattered around the edges. Clearly, nothing had hit the glass, as I was the only person in the car, on the street and there wasn't a hole through the piece of glass, it was just broken around the perimeter. I took it into Airport Toyota, expecting them to repair it for no charge, and appologize for this scary occurance. But was sent away with an $1800+ estimate for the repair. I called the service manager, Dave Sarber to see if he would cover the cost for this and was told that his DSPM declined any assitance on this repair because of the amount of miles on my vehicle. I drive 100 miles per day on the highway to and from work and my car has 90,000 miles on it. The vehicle has never been into an accident, so I'm not sure what the amount of miles on a 2009 vehicle has to do with this dangerous defect! I have read on the internet about other accounts of this happening with the tC, with Toyota covering the repair sometimes, and other times not. The service tech that gave me the estimate even told me that there was a tC in two weeks prior with the same issue. Airport Toyota obviously doesn't care about this issue. Luckily I was not injured, but it could very easily happen with overhead glass spontaneously shattering. BEWARE OF TOYOTA, BEWARE OF SCION TC They have certainly lost this customer... More
Below is a memo I sent to Joseph Airport Toyota. I have not deleted it as I feel it has merrit. What I do want the readers to know is that Christian Hahn, the General Manager, contacted me the NEXT DAY and not deleted it as I feel it has merrit. What I do want the readers to know is that Christian Hahn, the General Manager, contacted me the NEXT DAY and apologized for the inconvenience and explained that he felt there was such a need to contact the customers, that at that time,he had not thought of us who were not on the recall list. I appreciate his urgency, honesty and apology. Rodger To whom might make an improvement, Feb.10.2010 This memo is in response to your rating request. We set up an appointment for our RAV4 RECALL. We delivered the vehicle to Vandalia from Sidney at 4:45pm on Feb 10th. We were promptly ushered into the service area and had a short 5 min. wait. We were then asked for our name, address, year and mileage. After bringing up the vin number on your computer, we were told that our RAV was not on the recall list and that we could go. NOW !!! --- 1) This vehicle was bought from YOU ! 2) We called and asked about the recall - No questions asked ! 3) YOU called back and We set up the appointment. No questions asked. With this in mind, Why wasn't the above information obtained BEFORE we spent our time, vehicle wear & tear(we took a stone chip or salt chip on the hood on the way down) and gas in this weather, to travel to Vandalia -- ONLY to be told we didn't have to come. You not only wasted our time, but someone who needed to be in there lost out. This could all have been averted! Straight out -- YOU BLEW IT Rodger More
My complaint is with the service, I took my Matrix 2003 in 2 yrs ago due to inadequate heating (my car on 0-20 degree temp) would probably get up to 60 maybe 65, well SD said it was the radiator..it was re in 2 yrs ago due to inadequate heating (my car on 0-20 degree temp) would probably get up to 60 maybe 65, well SD said it was the radiator..it was replaced. My care still did not throw out much heat so I took it back and SD replaced my thermostat..well the car still did not heat. I was told that all Matrix had a complicated heater system and that the vents near the center did not heat up and the outside vents would only function at maybe 50%. I was not to place the fan on full and I should direct the heat towards my upper body or my feet..(do not do duel). Then I was told that a Service rep??would be in town and would explain it to me in more detail as how this system worked.( guess I am an !idiot!) I do not know anything about cars but this sounds to far fetched for me. The other thing as far as service I scheduled my car in Dec 24th before I left for my holiday..was told that this would give them time to figure out my "heating concerns" well I came to drop it off on the way to the airport and the dealership was locked up tight as a drum. My extended warranty ran out Jan 5 and I got a chance to get it in Jan 7th? needless to say my service was not covered. Misled39 More
The service department is the worse of all toyota service departments/dealerships I have experienced in Ohio and California. I have had toyotas for 23 years, loyal to them. However, after the service insul departments/dealerships I have experienced in Ohio and California. I have had toyotas for 23 years, loyal to them. However, after the service insults and plain inability to fix the squeeks, ratttles of a new camry, I sold the car and bought lexus. Stay away from this dealership! More
