All of the employees there were very friendly. When I bought a used car there, I found two minor problems and they fixed it right away. The price was very reasonable as well. Jim Bencivenga, and his entire sales and finance team, provide the most outstanding service of any dealership I have ever worked with! Mr. Bencivenga went out of his way to orchestrate a deal that would w provide the most outstanding service of any dealership I have ever worked with! I did not get the compleimentary world class inspection during oil change for Honda Civic 2003 today . I never declined for it. After my nightmare with Sheehy Honda I finally found a dealer that was both worth the wait and worth the drive. I explained to the Manager what I was looking for and they had it in stock. I told him w dealer that was both worth the wait and worth the drive. I explained to the Manager what I was looking for and they had it in stock. I told him what I wanted to pay and what I thought the trade-in was worth - he said fine come right in and pick up your new Insight. It was rainy outside as we pulled up to the Koons Dealership. As we parked both our cars outside there was a saleman Ahmed who was waiting for us at the door and welcomed us by name. What a difference! That set the atmosphere where we felt like family from that point forward. Everyone who we dealt with was more than friendly - even another salesman offered us coffee. All I can say for anyone reading this is Koons was worth the 30 minute drive, even in the rain. The entire experience was absolutely stunning. I even walked around and saw their service waiting area- nothing shabby here - nice quiet place with leather chairs and a TV. They even had a kids play area - not that we needed it but what a nice touch. The only regret I had from this experience was not personally thanking everyone there for such a great experience as we drove off in our New 2010 Honda Insight. More
I cannot speak for the sales side, but my service experiences have always been very positive. My service advisor has always been Ralph Freese and I followed him to Koons after he left Landmark Honda experiences have always been very positive. Service advisors typically work on commission and the advisors at Koons Honda are no different. By working w/Mr. Freese each time I've developed a good relationship that has paid dividends over the years. For example, he's made me aware of coupons that I wasn't aware of and with some big services that have come down pike (I currently have over 200K on my Accord) he's cut 10% off portions of the bill. I appreciate the effort and he appreciates that I always bring the car to him and his team. I typically make an appointment about a week in advance, although I have made appointments within a shorter time frame. I've never felt over charged and periodically I have called around, including independent shops, and the price hasn't been any different for a particular service. Give him and his team a try. More
Koons is notorious for changing the price as you sign the final paperwork and high prices for sales/service. My experience includes two visits on separate occasions/locations to the Ford and Honda dealershi final paperwork and high prices for sales/service. The first location changed the price by incorporating the taxes into the base price and adding the taxes again. The Honda dealer was a little more bold and used the same techniques on $3400 worth of options. After I pointed out the problem, the Ford dealer insisted it was accurate until I made him prove the math line by line. Their Honda Sales Manager reacted by telling me I was wasting their time by not making the purchase in a timely fashion. My friends have since shared similar stories about their tactics and this was a common experience among the group. They only remain in business because most people don't haggle enough over price and fail to review the paperwork. More
