Wanted to pay cash and did NOT have a trade in...so the risk to Karl Malone Toyota was minimal In fact, I had no intentions of buying a vehicle from K.M. as I had heard that the dealership engaged in questionable practices. But I found one ( Prius C ) that I truly liked and decided to buy it. So, the fun and games begin. After being shown a used 2015 model that had 32,000 miles on it, was beat up, from Texas, stunk like an ashtray ,driven in from a flood area , to being promised a look at a 2013 that apparently did not exist ..."oh, it's been sold" and "it's out on approval " I managed to get everyone steered to the one I really wanted. Finally agreed on a price and then the manager immediately wanted me to pony up more. No! Remember their risk was minimal. And I was told this model came with a back up camera. Then I found out no back up camera but the accessory department would install one on the following Monday. I was using my rebate money to pay for that camera. Then I get a call at home that if I still wanted to have a back up camera installed it was going to cost more and I would pay the difference. Never mind that it is stated in my signed contract that I am to have a back up camera and for the stated price.Maybe it is because I am a woman that the assumption was made that it would be easy to steal from me. Avoid these snakes. More

Dishonest, rude; will lie to make a sale. The first day I was there was pretty average. I went to other dealerships looking for the car I wanted, but couldn't find it. I spoke with Jeff in Internet Sales, and he was, quite honestly, the only Toyota employee from all of the dealerships I worked with who was genuinely interested in earning my business. He should be commended for his efforts, and I sincerely wish I could have purchased the vehicle from him. He informed me that the exact car I wanted was either at Bountiful or a dealership in Rock Springs. After I returned from vacation I wanted Karl Malone to get the vehicle from Bountiful or Rock Springs. The salesman, Jake, lied and said that they no longer had that vehicle (I found out later that he had lied) and he said that there was no way they could get the car from Bountiful. I made a concession and decided to go with the Cosmic Gray Micah that night, fully intending to purchase a vehicle. But what really made me angry was the Finance guy, Brandon, was unbelievably rude, and basically told me there was no way he could finance the car I wanted "because of my credit." How I read his terrible attitude and unwillingness to work or help is, "It's late, we want to go home, and we don't have time to deal with you." Again, Jeff was great, and this review should not count against him, so I'm not checking his name below. More
Worst car purchase ever! Worst experience ever. I bought a used 2007 Camry Hybrid from them about a month ago. Right after I purchased it and started driving it home it shut o Worst experience ever. I bought a used 2007 Camry Hybrid from them about a month ago. Right after I purchased it and started driving it home it shut off within 5 blocks. Turns out the hybrid battery is dead, the car can't go for more that 5-10 minutes without shutting off. I just happened to test drive it for that 5-10 minutes that it didn't shut down. There's no way in the world they didn't know this car had such an obvious issue unless I was the only person to ever test drive it ever, but they sold it to me anyways without telling me. They wouldn't take it back either, they said they couldn't take a car with such a major issue. This is right after they sold me the car with said major issue! Anyways I ended up having to replace the hybrid battery for $3,500, only to find out that the brakes are messed up as well. It's in the shop right now, but estimates put it somewhere in the range of another $1,500-$3,000. Congrats Karl Malone Toyota for unloading a terrible lemon, you got me good. More
2 OUT OF 3 NEW CARS WERE DAMAGED MY WIFE AND I WERE LOOKING FOR A NEW CAMRY, 2 OUT OF 3 OF THEM WERE DAMAGED. SCRATCHES, DINGS, DENTS, BUMPERS SCRACTHED. ENDED UP TALKED TO A GENERA MY WIFE AND I WERE LOOKING FOR A NEW CAMRY, 2 OUT OF 3 OF THEM WERE DAMAGED. SCRATCHES, DINGS, DENTS, BUMPERS SCRACTHED. ENDED UP TALKED TO A GENERAL MANAGER OR SOMEONE. HE AGREED TO GET DAMAGE FIXED BUT BODY SHOP WAS WEEKS BEHIND SCHEDULE APPT. THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS FLIRTING & CHECKING OUT MY WIFE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING FOR YOUR NEW TOYOTA SOMEHWERE ELSE, BODY SHOP DIDN'T SOUND SO GREAT EITHER. -WE ENDED UP BUYING A NEW AVALON AT BRENT BROWN More
Horrible policies I had just bought my new 2015 highlander in my home town not from Karl Malone. 150 miles out of town on my way to Salt Lake City the air conditioner I had just bought my new 2015 highlander in my home town not from Karl Malone. 150 miles out of town on my way to Salt Lake City the air conditioner stopped working which effected the whole panel air and heat. The controls would not work. I called right away to schedule an appt. with Karl Malone the next day stating that I would need a car to drive. We got in the next day and was told we could not have a car but a shuttle. 5 plus hours later I am still without a car and trying to get one. After the problem was found I had to get my hotel to shuttle us over because we waited over a half hour and it was getting close to 5 pm. I was told that the part that shorted out wasn't available to order and they didn't know when it would be but would contact me on Monday. I went to drive off and had a warning sign come up to see service ASAP. I went back in and told them so they had to pull the dash again to find out what they had forgot to reconnect. Was told it may be an hour or more. I again asked for a car and was shut down again. I told them to give me one off the lot, no deal. Called Toyota care and they wanted to talk to the GM to get me in a car ASAP as this is part of the Toyota care policy. By then I was so frustrated that I told them I was just going to return the vehicle when I got home and get my Acura back as Acura always took care of me and would of never treated me like this. When I got home my dealership they had reordered me another vehicle and was able to get the part and fix one I highlander I have. I am now waiting for the newly ordered one to come in as I fear electrical issues with this one. Never will I ever go to Karl Malone again or refer anyone to them in the Salt Lake City area. I just wish I could get in touch with Karl Malone and tell him about this dealership using his name. More
