David Markowitz/Karp Volvo Wonderful Experience! Dealerships don't provide the same level of service to their Fleet customers as they do for their traditional ones . The incentive just isn't there. Dealerships don't provide the same level of service to their Fleet customers as they do for their traditional ones . The incentive just isn't there. I get that. I never expected otherwise. This experience with David Markowitz and the folks at Karp Volvo was far different than all the other interactions I have had in my years -of which there have been many as I have been in a Fleet vehicle since I graduated college and got my first real job in pharma sales. Historically, most dealerships wouldn't even notify you when your Fleet vehicle arrived on the lot. Pick up was, "Here are the keys, take care.' David, however, treated me as a top priority. His passion for Volvo is evident. David spent so much time going the features of the Volvo S90 -of which there are many, it was incredible. The way Harry Winston loves and speaks about diamonds, David Markowitz does the same for Volvo and that makes all the difference in the world. I am very fortunate that my employer offers the Volvo S90 as a company car. It is truly special. In 2005 I bought my mom a new Saab 9-3 Turbo. I shopped around. Karp offered something very reasonable and their professionalism made my decision an easy one. I know that I will buy another car for my mom up in Syracuse and there is a very high probability it will be an XC60 and there is no doubt as to where that purchase will be made: Karp. Our dealings with Karp Volvo, in Rockville Center, Long Island was not only a reassuring and pleasant experience, but one that also has engendered a feeling of satisfaction that our decision to purchase a new Volvo from Karp was a correct one. The sales personnel and support staff were all polite, respectful, friendly, conscientious and knowledgeable. David Markowitz, the sales person who sold us our car was truly a gentleman and an expert at his trade. John Lane, the sales manager at Karp is personable, helpful and eager to provide answers to any questions that may arise. At no point in our transactions did we ever feel pressured or uncomfortable. Karp Volvo - Terrible Experiende I recently bought a Volvo S90 Inscription. The first dealership I went to was Karp Volvo. I have to say that this dealership made the entire new-car I recently bought a Volvo S90 Inscription. The first dealership I went to was Karp Volvo. I have to say that this dealership made the entire new-car buying process into a terrible affair. The dealership had my wife and I waiting 4 hours last Sunday=, the salesman would talk to us for a few minutes, then say "i'll be right back", and wouldn't come nback for 30 minutes. This repeated over and over, and the dealership was empty early on a Sunday. I asked to speak top the manager three times, but he refused to give me two minutes of his time while I am looking to buy a $60,000 car. Incredible arrogant. The salesman kept promising to get me the color combination I wanted, and wanted a "deposit" even though they couildn't tell me about a specific car, price, delivery time, etc. Extremely shady and I am certainly glad I didn't go along with that. Of course after we finally said "enough" and left, Inever received a follow-up call from the salemsman about the car they claimed they would find nearby. Overall a terrible experience with this dealership, and I would never recommend Karp Volvo. More
