Jakob picked up the vehicle and brought it to the lot for my test drive. No high pressure sales, we negotiated a good price. My expectation was to wrap up the paperwork in 90 minutes. This has got to be the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. First off attitude from Sasa when I asked her a question about the service manager availability, then my new advisor lies to me sayin I’ve ever had. First off attitude from Sasa when I asked her a question about the service manager availability, then my new advisor lies to me saying the phones were down for a week - so this is why they don’t return messages? I’ve been calling for months. The service advisor assigned to me in April, left this dealership and apparently nobody took the time to follow up on her clients. I have been calling the service department for months (over 12 times) leaving message after message and speaking to the operator for information on the parts ordered for my sensors error. Nobody called back - ever. I finally got an appointment (2weeks out) I again asked if they had my parts and the operator couldn’t say but she would leave a message for an advisor, still no call back. I called 4 times prior to my appointment within the 2 weeks and left messages and no call back. Here I am finally getting the work done, and no the part is not here - not surprised. I have to wait for the part and 4-5 hours for results that I made the appointment for, why? This dealership doesn’t care about their customers because they know we can’t go with out the necessary car repairs. If I could rate them lower I would, as soon as I can I am dumping the Kia 2023, I’ve already had 2 recalls, software update not automatic you habe to have it serviced, and the sensor error in the first year of ownership. I would say Kia service does not rate, there are numerous people here not sure why their service is so horrible. More

Service Department is almost impossible to get ahold to. I have been calling and leaving messages for a week for my service advisor to contact me back. I understand that we all get busy in our work days and that they have A LOT of vehicles that come through this service center, but you still need to return calls of your clients. Unfortunately I no longer live in the area, otherwise I would go to the dealership myself. This is not the way you should treat your clients to give them a good feeling about trusting vehicle to. These are NOT small investments for people and you need to be there for them. More

In the end, this was one of my best car buying experience yet! Thank you to Steven, Darius, Alex and Truman! They bent over backwards to be certain my car buying adventure was all it could be. I’m about to take a very long road trip and decided to buy a 2019 Mini Cooper that wound up not having the features I felt I needed for the journey. Instead of dismissing me and my concerns, they turned what could have been a real issue into a wonderful outcome. They clearly understand the importance of earning a client’s future business and/or referrals and worked as a team to be sure my needs were met. Unlike most dealers, their priority was that I end up in a car I felt safe and comfortable in for my upcoming jaunt. I’m grateful, happy and in love with my new bright red Kia Soul! Thank you to all four of these great guys for being genuinely concerned with my happiness and my car buying experience. You’ve made a customer for life! More
My first car buying experience couldn't have gone worse. .. I do NOT recommend Kearny Mesa Kia and Ford. First off, I had a car to trade in, Eric the salesman told me they would give me $3,500 for it. I was .. I do NOT recommend Kearny Mesa Kia and Ford. First off, I had a car to trade in, Eric the salesman told me they would give me $3,500 for it. I was happy with that. Later when signing the papers, I noticed it said $3,000 instead of $3,500 for my trade-in. Eric didn't say anything about a change, he probably figured I wouldn't notice. After reading several other reviews it seems like this is a common occurrence where they tell you one price for your trade in but the papers say something different. Then, when signing papers, I read there were two extra charges, one for almost $1,000 for paint and interior protectant and another for a $2,000 car security system. When inquiring about it Gregg said it is mandatory and cannot be taken off. After some time he took off the charge for the $1,000 paint and interior protectant. Then the papers were signed and the car was mine. After more arguing Gregg said he would take off the charge for the $2,000 security system if it hadn't been 'activated' yet. So, I called back several times the next day and got hung up on, sent to perpetual hold, and talked to a sales person who said he would tell Gregg. Next day, nothing, I left a voicemail with reception and was able to talk to a few sales people who said again they would tell Gregg to call. A few days pass, nothing. I call again and talk to probably the only helpful person there who's the insurance guy who sells car insurance after you buy a car. A couple days later a lady calls and tells me she'll tell Gregg to call when he gets back to the office on Monday. Gregg never calls. It's since been a few weeks. It's very deliberately deceiving when they advertise a $15,000 car and then say there's an extra nonnegotiable charge for $3,000 of crap, making it a $18,000 car. Advertise it for whatever price it actually is, if it already has features on it worth $3,000 that 'can't be taken off' then you should probably include that in the price. But even more insult to injury is to get my hopes up saying you'll take it off but then never do. Not only that, Eric was very unprofessional taking several personal phone calls while we were talking before I bought the car. What's even better, the next day after I got the car I looked up and noticed brown smears on the ceiling that the detailer either missed or wouldn't come out but wasn't mentioned. Love my dirty new car.... I don't have people sit in the back either but the other day I opened the driver's side passenger door and it squeaks like it needs some WD-40. Love it. We'll see what other issues arrive that I didn't notice. If Kearny Mesa Kia and Ford actually want to make it right, you can call me, you guys have my phone number. I'm sick and tired of calling for rude people to answer and hang up on me, be redirected to reception's voicemail when trying to talk to a manager, get put on perpetual hold in Gregg's office, and have people say they'll 'talk to Gregg.' Poor customer service, disorganized, indifferent and unresponsive PLUS I don't feel they deal with customers in good faith. Based on my experience not only will I not use them for repairs, but I will n unresponsive PLUS I don't feel they deal with customers in good faith. Based on my experience not only will I not use them for repairs, but I will never buy a KIA or Ford from them and most likely from any other KIA or Ford dealer. I've owned Toyotas for 20-30 years and have never once had such problems - EVER! More
I am very pissed off!!! Today I went in for a simple recall for a SC197 HECU/ABS module. But when I left KIA Mesa my check engine light turned on while driving home and they close at 5pm so no time to recall for a SC197 HECU/ABS module. But when I left KIA Mesa my check engine light turned on while driving home and they close at 5pm so no time to turn around to the dealership! My car was perfectly fine before my service today and now my freaking engine light is on, I'm heading back Monday and I hope they don't charge for something they made a mistake on!!!! More
