Great Salesman - To Management...Details Matter We just purchased a new to us 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. We love the car and Justin, our salesman, was great. Marcus in finance was also excellent to de We just purchased a new to us 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. We love the car and Justin, our salesman, was great. Marcus in finance was also excellent to deal with. Overall the experience was great. One thing that I did not like was the fact that one of our key fob's plastic shell had been chewed by a dog (maybe the previous owners) and it was visibly broken. I tried to fix it but every time I pushed the lock button it kept popping open into two pieces. Prior to closing the deal I asked for a new key from multiple people at the dealership or even a key shell. I was told no because there was no more money in the deal and the dealership couldn't afford it. I asked if I bought a key online could they code it for me. I was told no again. I asked if they could give me a key from the other used 2013 Santa fe on the lot and was again told no. This may seem like a small thing but every time I push the remote button to lock my car and it pops apart in to two pieces I grow ever more frustrated by the dealership that completed a transaction with a known defect and then told me to figure out how to deal with an integral piece of the car that is broken on my own. It's the small details that make all the difference when you think about customer satisfaction, word of mouth recommendations and returning for future business. Changing the plastic shell from one car to another would have completely satisfied this buyer and bumped this rating. Maybe when I go back Wednesday to pick up my touch up paint for the spots they missed in the detail process that they were made aware of they will reconsider and fix the issue. I have to fill my tank before I go though because the 16th of a tank of gas barely got us home. I'll keep you posted. More
