I went to Kelley to purchase my first car, I decided on a preowned Chevy blazer. I was told there were inspections done on the vehicle. Driving the vehicle locally, everything looked and sounded fine. After getting 20 minutes into my drive home I heard a loud rattling noise from underneath the car. I didn’t even have my car for 24 hours and I had to bring it back because of the severity of the noise. At first communication with the dealership was fine, but after a few days I was the one who had to contact the dealership to get any updates on my vehicle. They found a bad part with my exhaust and a leak in my coolant. They made repairs and then found another issue with my front muffler. They told me the part they needed would come in 3-5 business days. After eight days, I asked what was going on. The part still hadn’t come in. It took about three and a half weeks to get my car back. My time to get to the license branch was cut in half and the dealership told me “that’s plenty of time” like they knew my schedule or something. They told me I would have 45 days, I would have liked 45 days, but “unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about that.” When I asked what they could do for me because of this inconvenience, they acted like asking for anything was asking too much. I had to take off two days of work dropping off and picking up my car, losing money while a car payment is coming up. When my car was finally finished, the manager I was working with offered no apology for this issues the car had and the inconvenience I was put through. Every time I bring in my truck they tell me "couldn't duplicate the problem ". So this time I took a picture of the warning light/message that I'm getting on my dash and both showed them and then texted duplicate the problem ". Yep, they came back after a week and said "couldn't duplicate it." My truck has 34k miles on it and every day I still see the same warning light. They told me they MIGHT be able to turn it off if they replace my brake pads and my sensor ($60 pads and $14 sensor). I asked how much to do the job, almost $1000 because they also replace the rotors. I asked how much life was left on my pads and they said "they're not quite half way worn." Why would I pay $1k for your service department to problem solve an issue that they say is only half worn and i can buy the parts to fix it myself for less than $100? Awful service department. I used to stand up for Kelley when people said bad things. Yeah, those days are gone. More
