Horrible Service Bought a 2013 Veloster turbo in certified pre-owned form. I was told by the sales guy that the car is looked over by "certified techs" and anything Bought a 2013 Veloster turbo in certified pre-owned form. I was told by the sales guy that the car is looked over by "certified techs" and anything that does not appear to be new, will be replaced or brought to appear to be new. As he was telling me, I saw some damage (the previously owner most likely hit a curb). I said, if they went over the car, wouldn't they have seen this? He agreed and said that they will fix anything I find that does not look brand new. He gave me a few days to go over the car. I found a list of things. It was clear they did not go over the car as there was damage to the interior (the largest trim piece was damaged by something that "ate into the plastic", grease stains on the ceiling, damage to the door handle, etc.) on the outside of the car there was the mentioned scrape on the bumper, damage to the door (car door or something hit it) scratches everywhere, and a blown speaker. I took pictures within 12 hours of purchasing and sent them all to the sales guy. He said, "We will replace anything that cannot be repaired to brand new status". I trusted this was the case and brought my car in. I had an inferior loaner car (base model elantra) while my car was being worked on. When it came back half the scratches were still there, the front bumper was sagging about half an inch on the drivers side, and worst of all (and no this is not a joke) the repaired trim piece in the interior was spray painted. There was overspray on my knobs and when they "cleaned" it they wiped off the lettering from the buttons on my radio. I was frustrated but decided to try to "live with it" for a few days. Shortly thereafter I was driving on the highway and I heard a tapping. When I got to work I noticed the front bumper was sagging alot more. I called the dealership and explained and a female responded with almost anger telling me that any damage was my own fault. I told her that I did not touch the bumper and this is how the car sits after their work was done. I asked to speak to the supervisor but of course he was not in at this time. I was told to call back the next afternoon. I drove very lightly as the bumper was sagging. When I was on my lunch break I drove over a speed bump and heard a viscious scrape. I got out and the bumper apparently drug on the speed bump and scraped the paint. I immediately called the supervisor and explained. His words were along the lines of "my guys would not do that." (spray painting the interior and leaving damaged parts on the car; he also stated that they didnt take the bumper off to repair it???) I responded saying, "Do you think I would do that to my own car for fun?" He said, "I dont know but I trust my guys and again they would not do that." Eventually he had gotten angry to the point where he was flat out calling me a liar. I decided it was time to make a fool out of him by telling him about the pictures I had taken which had timestamps that coincided with the day I bought the car and also showed that the spray paint covered up damage that is still there to this day. He then changed his attitude to, "Bring it in and I will take a look at it". I decided another chance was in order. I brought the car in and they kept it for about a week. This time I was given a base model sonata. When my car was returned I was told that I need to repair the bumper because they will not touch it as I apparently made the whole story up. They (and again I am not joking) re-spray painted my interior with noticable tape lines on my dashboard. The worst part - they "attempted" to take off the trim piece and in doing so damaged the padded dash and the plastic trim piece. They did nothing else in the way of repairs. I am in talks with a lawyer about how to proceed but I highly highly recommend going elsewhere for your vehicle purchase. Thank you God Bless More
