Travis, I read your letter to dealer rater and was very concerned to hear how you felt. I personally test drove your car with you on Friday 5/28/10 to verify what you were experiencing. You stated on the test drive the problem was barely noticeable when the vehicle was warm, which your vehicle was at that time. I asked you to drop the vehicle off on the night of Monday 5/31/10 so we could experience the drivability problem on cold startup. Only then were we able to fully experience the drivability concern you had. We replaced the throttle body that day, but had to wait until the next day to start the vehicle and see if the problem was corrected. On the test drive, Wednesday 06/02/10, we realized it was no better. We consulted with Nissan Technical Assistance and ran further tests. They had us disconnect the ABS control unit and requested we drive the vehicle cold on Thursday morning 6/03/10. The vehicle now ran properly when cold, so we ordered an ABS module on that Thursday night. Our Service advisor Rich contacted you on Friday notifying you the parts would not arrive until the middle of the following week. Your salesperson Jerry reached out to us immediately on Wednesday 6/2/10 stating you needed a loaner car. We supplied you a 2010 Nissan Cube at no charge that evening. We are committed to repairing your vehicle to your satisfaction and have always treated you with the utmost respect. Unfortunately, parts delays are sometimes out of our control. It is my understanding we have purchased the car back from you as it was the right thing to do. I’m sorry your experience was not one to be fond of, but we work hard to make our customers happy. In this case, the best correction was to unwind everything to get you back on the road. If there’s anything else we can do, please don’t hesitate to ask.
