My 2019 Impreza was in service for a national gas line recall. However, As I drove a few miles off the lot, I noticed a distinct smell of gas. The service that never took place. We scheduled a follow up service appointment to replace a part that they had to order. We left our vehicle and we were given a loaner. We got part way home and they called us to tell us they couldn’t perform the repair, because they had returned the part since it was over 30 days since the part was received. When we returned, I showed them the date and message on my phone, which confirmed that it was no where near 30 days Since they called me. They reordered the part and now we have to wait and do this all over again when the part comes in. More

Excellent service advisor.. (Jennifer Leeds) Jennifer kept me informed from the time I dropped off my outback to the time I picked it up. She showed interest in getting my car repaired. The airbag recall was completed but I also asked to check into a engine hesitation when the car was in park and I would rev it up. They told me they had to hooked up and engine analyzer to check things out. I was under the impression that they fixed it because i was told the mechanic took it for a ride and thought it was then running ok. The car was later ready for pickup. Unfortunately, when I went to pick it up after hours, there was a new problem, a loud squealing noise which immediately appeared when I started the car. I was afraid to attempt driving it home incase it was a frozen pulley. The next day they called me and said the drive belt was glazed and the idler pulleys had a slight drag in the bearings. I approved the repair and also had the fuel injectors and throttle body cleaning done because the engine hesitation was still there. Went to pick up the car again, the squealing sound was gone but the engine hesitation was still there. I decided to leave the car there again because of the hesitation. I was told the next morning that they had the service manager listen to the hesitation and he said that was normal because of the Rev. limiter. I wish he looked at it the first day I brought it in, he would of saved me the cost or an engine analyzer and fuel injector, throttle body cleaning. My intentions at first was to get the air bag recall completed and then sell the car. But I received a lower than expected value for my car from your salesman that I decided to keep it and sell it on my own. I always thought the Subaru’s held their value, guess not. Even though it took more time to get the repairs done and cost me more than I ever expected to pay for this visit, I’m glad I brought it to Subaru. I feel that some other repair shops wouldn’t of put in the time to read my notes and listen to my complaints on the phone like Jennifer did. She wanted to know everything I could tell her so she can get the repairs done properly. She really seems to care about the customer. I’m glad I had her for my service advisor!! More

Upset by the Service Center manager After a terrific experience with the sales people earlier this year, I decided to come back to this dealership to get a hitch installed. I called par After a terrific experience with the sales people earlier this year, I decided to come back to this dealership to get a hitch installed. I called parts department to see how much it costs and was told $522 for everything including installation. I verified this meant the wiring and hitch ball too. He transferred me to the Service department to schedule and the lady that answered was not very friendly especially when I asked to confirm the cost and she did and then said plus tax and shop supplies. I asked what that would be and she sounded impatient with me and said probably around $15 and then she said "don't worry, I can only charge up to $35 in shop supplies. Once the hitch was installed I looked to find the hitch ball missing. Then was told it doesn't come with the hitch and I said that I was told it did and even the picture shows a ball. They had to call the manager and he told me "I'm sorry but the hitch does not come with a ball" I told him that he can either include the ball or remove the hitch. I came to the dealership to ensure I got a hitch that is perfect for my Forester and I had called UHaul and could have gotten have gotten the whole package at $200 less than Ganley. The Service manager said "I can't just give you a ball, its $145" Earlier I was told by the service writer (Not Chris who helped me check in) that I could buy one for about $35. So I told the Service manager not to BS me, I now he can go down the road and get one for about $35. He eventually did get a $38 ball and put it on. He installed it incorrectly too and I had to go buy a new pin to hold the ball onto the hitch. Unfortunately, I will likely find a closer Subaru dealer for all future service. More
