I want to be transparent because I wish someone had warned me before buying here. While the vehicle itself seemed fine initially, my experience with the finance department was frustrating and stress warned me before buying here. While the vehicle itself seemed fine initially, my experience with the finance department was frustrating and stressful. I felt rushed and pressured into purchasing additional service contracts without adequate time to review the terms. There were also serious issues with how my credit was handled that were not clearly explained to me at the time, which significantly damaged my trust in the process. Within three days of purchase I discovered the vehicle had an oil leak and a broken gas-tank release lever. The repair was extremely minor (about a $5 part), yet the dealership refused to address it. After the sale, communication became extremely difficult. When I attempted to get clarification or cancel add-on contracts, responses were delayed or nonexistent until I escalated the issue. Even then, the cancellation process was far more complicated than it should have been, and I was shorted approximately $800 from my warranty refund despite cancelling within 14 days and never using it. Additionally, the dealership failed to submit my DMV paperwork. I only learned this after my temporary registration expired and I contacted them confused about why my plates had not arrived. The paperwork was finally submitted roughly 40 days after purchase. Overall, the experience felt opaque, high-pressure, and dismissive once paperwork was signed. I strongly recommend that anyone purchasing here take extra caution in the finance office, ask for everything in writing, and fully understand how credit and add-ons are handled before agreeing to anything. When purchasing a car from a dealership many times financing will be available through the dealership itself. In these cases the dealership will get the money for the consumer to purchase the vehicle at what is known as the “buy rate” of interest from a lending institution and then pass along the “sell rate” of the same interest and increase it to the consumer, with the dealership taking the inflated interest rate as additional profit. The dealership may even lower the purchase price of the vehicle knowing they will get a greater sum of profit from the consumer in the end run. I was aware of this practice but I had the means to pay for the new vehicle outright along with my owned truck with title as a trade. The price and all aspects had been prearranged between my self and the dealership and when the truck arrived I was told if I would finance the purchase instead of paying out right an additional $3000.00 would be taken off of the price. I agreed knowing I would pay it off and keep the additional discounted price. What I was not told by Ken Garff American Fork Ford was that my credit report would be accessed 5 separate times substantially lowering my credit score. Additionally I had no way of getting the loan repayment information until the loan began going into default, so I payed it off in full. Do not fall trap to dealer negotiated financing, get your own financing arranged BEFORE you start looking for a car. Go to your own bank, or any other means, but avoid at all costs dealer negotiated financing. Ken Garff American Fork Ford may claim they listen but does nothing for the consumer. Ken Garff American Fork Ford is the type of dealership that cements why people hate car dealers! More
Purchased on-line 12/29 delivered 1/5. Only one key fob, 2 keys, one of which did not work. Tire jack was missing. Vehicle had scratches and small dents not shown by sales staff. Tires nee Only one key fob, 2 keys, one of which did not work. Tire jack was missing. Vehicle had scratches and small dents not shown by sales staff. Tires needed immediate replacement due to wear and were not as represented by sales staff...pictures were sent, but lacked tire measurement depth. I paid for vehicle transport, not it being driver to my address. I would not have purchased this vehicle if the above issues were disclosed prior to purchase. Sales staff at Ken Garff Ford American Fork were not honest. Do not buy from this dealer. More
GREAT DEALERS VS REALLY BAD DEALERS always comes down to service after the sale. What will make or break the entire experience all depends on the staff who serves you after the purchase. I have purchas to service after the sale. What will make or break the entire experience all depends on the staff who serves you after the purchase. I have purchased 10 to 15 new trucks in the last six or seven years from different dealers and Ken Garff ford American Fork is hands-down the WORST dealership I have dealt with to date. I will say, Ken Garff Ram West Valley, as well as Ken Garff downtown Salt Lake have been pretty good with my car and truck purchases. But whatever is going on underneath the circus tent at Ken Garff Ford American Fork is embarrassing to say the least. I’m sure there are good people there, so I hate to lump all of the people at Ken Garff in with their general manager, sales manager, as well as salesman Kris Talbot. Avoid these people, and you may have a better buying experience than I have. Troy and Becca in commercial service are 5 stars and represent Ken Garf at the highest level. Don’t take my word for it, read the reviews ahead of mine. This is not a place you want to spend your hard earned money. As a previous reviewer wrote “ they will lie right to your face and not even flinch”. And they are right. More
If I could give less than 1 start I would! They assured me that any issue would be covered since I purchased the highest level warranty. However on returning home we had a problem and the warranty (which is an IN HOUSE warranty owned by this auto group) refused to cover most of the repair. I reached out to the dealer and had extensive talks with them where I was assured they would take care of me and I would not be "left hanging" This was NOT true. they stopped answering my phone calls and texts and are doing nothing to help. DONT BELIEVE them when they say they will take acre of you after purchase. DONT believe them when they say they are reputable. In my opinion. More
This car dealership is horrible! They will lie right to your face about what your warranty will cover and couldn't give a rats a$$ about you when you are having issues! You are kin They will lie right to your face about what your warranty will cover and couldn't give a rats a$$ about you when you are having issues! You are king of the castle until the purchase has been completed. Once you sign the papers, they could care less about you, issues with the vehicle, and especially any questions or concerns you may have! You will get the run around and never get a return call back. This is in regards to Kevin in sales, Caesar the sales rep, and Jason the financial boss over sales at this dealership! PLEASE STAY AWAY! More
Bought a used vehicle for my elderly mother less than a month ago. I live in Oregon so the transaction was done remotely. I had a sales rep by the name of Jerrick. He was responsive during the transaction month ago. I live in Oregon so the transaction was done remotely. I had a sales rep by the name of Jerrick. He was responsive during the transaction however since the check-engine light has gone on less than 3 weeks after purchasing the vehicle he nor the dealership will respond to my calls, emails or texts. Their Ken Garff Nissan dealership has quoted me $4,800 in repairs ranging from the Catalytic Converter, front lower control arms w/ an alignment, Oil cooler gasket, Rear brake pads, and the Torque rod mount. I had trust in a dealership like Ken Garff that has many locations and what I thought was a reputable name in the area. Boy am I terribly mistaken. Buyer beware. This dealership has zero accountability or personal ownership on the vehicles they sell. More

I ordered a Mustang and after delays out of their control, I really thought the buying experience would flip the experience around. It didn't. My special ordered car had nearly 30 miles on it at time control, I really thought the buying experience would flip the experience around. It didn't. My special ordered car had nearly 30 miles on it at time of pick up, yet my paperwork said 5. The PDI took a week to complete, well, it likely didn't. The salesperson had told me they would let me know when it was ready, they didn't. I wasn't notified until I asked how much longer the PDI was going to take. Upon arrival I learned of a lost key. Then in finance, I was forced to pay $150 for an oil change package, trust me, i'm never coming back I told him and I was told it was company policy that it had to be purchased. We settled on me getting $150 of some sort of "parts credit". Upon leaving was when I realized the miles on the car and the terrible wash. Brand new car looked like it sat in a field then was hosed off and got some tire spray on it. I couldn't discuss any of this because my original salesperson passed the deal over to someone else. This guy was told by me that I was brand new to the Ford brand and the second I walked out the door, he went the opposite direction of me and the car. Zero assistance on how to work anything within the car or info regarding the car. We are over 3 weeks now, I was told I would get a check for my refund on the $150 and still no check or replacement key with no communication back to me in quite a while. Communication is a failure at this dealership, time to change the "we hear you" ads to something else. More
I’ve read through several good reviews, and am sad to have experienced the complete opposite. In the past year, my car has been a mess. I went into Ford, and they diagnosed the issue and had it fixed have experienced the complete opposite. In the past year, my car has been a mess. I went into Ford, and they diagnosed the issue and had it fixed. $6,000 later, the issue was supposedly fixed. It required me to change my whole engine, which is no little feat. I’ve also had other fixtures made that they have done in addition after one thing is “fixed.” To this day, my car is still having issues. The engine light turns on constantly. I recently went in to the dealership, and was made to seem like I made the mistake for fixing the issue that FORD recommended for me to do and fix. Am I the mechanic that diagnoses? This is why I took the car to them. I am sad, because Ford will not hear me out about the issues. They defend the company, and won’t hear out the customer. I know I am one in a million, but this is a car of their brand. To this day, I am getting calls of when my car will be fixed. Not even an apology for misdiagnosing the car. It’s just odd that whatever they fixed in the past is my fault, and now they want to fix something that has already been fixed already. I am not one to leave reviews, but this is so unfortunate. I am trying to do all I can to fix my car (Ford loyalty?), and instead I am caught paying and paying for car fixtures. We are all trying to live and pay for other things. More
