He understood that it was important to me to sell it to someone that would love it and continue to keep it in good condition, like I had. Money wasn't my only objective. Kevin was very friendly and understanding of my sentiment, knowledgeable, offered some different options to consider, was responsive in correspondence, and very respectful of my time. Amidst this process, my car 'check engine' light went on - the most inopportune time while selling a car - but Kevin invited me to come to Ken Garff downtown to check the code at no charge. I went there this morning and met with Richard Blonquist, a mechanic in the service department, who is another gem of a person. He was very thorough and supportive while checking the issue and took the time to get an accurate diagnosis of the problem (thankfully only a sparkplug). Next, I worked with specialist, Ernie Hasna, who evaluates the condition of used vehicles. He, too, was super easy to talk to, very thorough and straightforward, very efficient, and just a very kind human being who stayed by me at every step in the process. Ernie had the used vehicle manager, Corbin Hawkins come and take a look to determine if they would buy it. Corbin is another top notch professional who is very upbeat, enthusiastic, and a straight shooter. After a quick deliberation, he decided to take the car for the price I had in mind. By the end of completing the paperwork and getting the check, there was already a prospective buyer who worked at the dealership and loves Celicas so I am confident my ole car will get a good home. Last but certainly not least, I was offered a ride back to my house by Don, the shuttle driver, another very kind and genuine person. Everyone is I met and worked with at Ken Garff is very genuine, respectful, up front, will treat you like a person, and extremely professional (a lot of them have been in the business for decades and know their stuff). During COVID, everyone was taking the appropriate precautions as well. In short, my whole experience from beginning to end was hands-down 5-stars treatment! I also noticed that the way employees treat each other there is like family, so if you want to work with an honest, family-like dealership - this is the place. (I would buy my new car there if I weren't moving out of state.) More
