Found a truck on line I was very interested in so my wife and I drove to Gloucester, VA about an hour from our house to check it out. I have been looking for a new auto on and off for the last year and three months. After narrowing the choice down to two vehicles, I just needed to test drive the new design 2014 Impala to make up my min last year and three months. We stopped by Whitmore Chev in West Point which is close to my New Kent home. After explaining what we needed, we left feeling very disappointed. Since they didn't have the color Impala I was looking for and it was too much trouble to move a few cars so I could test drive it-we left. They didn't want my business. I wanted to go home, but my husband said "lets drive over to Gloucester" . Our first and last stop was Ken Houtz. We stopped and looked around the lot for a few minuets and then Gary came out and introduced himself. Again I explained our situation and asked if it was possible to test drive a new Impala. Gary not only let us drive the car,but answered the many, many questions we had. The test drive was all it took and I made my decision. Gary said he would be able to find us exactly what we wanted and took the time to search for the car I wanted with only the options I wanted. We went to see a Jeep that we saw on the internet for my daughter as her first car. This is where we met Tony Pafundi. We had even more questions which Tony was happy to answer. After we decided to buy the Jeep, we worked with Ella Ames. She was responsible for getting all the paperwork in order. She too was extremely helpful and also great to work with. This was the most positve experience at a dealership that I have ever had. When we arrived at the Ken Houtz dealership, all sales personnel were busy so Ella Ames came out and introduced herself. We told her we were interested in the new 2014 1500 Silverado. She walked us over to the display area and began to explain all the new features that had been added to this years model. We started looking at one with features we were interested in so she went back to the showroom to get a set of keys and came back with Jim Jackson. Ella introduced us and Jim took us for a test drive. Had it not been for Jim's interest in showing us the features of the truck we would not have ordered the Driver Alert or the Cooling Seats. When we got back to the Dealership we went inside to talk more and to figure out what truck was for us. In the mean time Mr. Houtz came out and introduced himself as if were our next door neighbor. Not too many owners will do that! They checked to see if there was one in the region that met our needs. We decided to order a truck. Jim kept us updated on the progress. When it was time to take delivery Jim had the truck picked up to have additional equipment installed so we would not have to make another trip.
